As a Supplier Development Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you'll play a critical role in developing and continuously improving all aspects of our mechanical supplier engineering processes to meet design, regulatory, and business requirements (including safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery). You will be responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and troubleshooting all machining and sheet metal products, conducting design for excellence (DFx) reviews, and developing the processes and infrastructure to help the business scale. The projects you work on will set the foundation for how the business operates for years to come. Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage supplier relationships to ensure they meet or exceed manufacturing, testing, inspection, quality, performance, and reliability requirements

  • Develop design for excellence (DFx) processes, and conduct reviews to evaluate designs for cost, producibility, inspectability, consistency, adequacy, accuracy, and conformance to requirements

  • Develop supplier qualification processes and conduct regular reviews

  • Collaborate with design, quality, and certification teams to embed producibility/manufacturability, compliance, and risk mitigation in all phases of product development (e.g., prototype, R&D, certification, and production)

  • Develop quality control plans and inspection infrastructure, including dimensional inspection and functional testing

  • Develop and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, quality management systems, and engineering change orders

  • Develop processes to ensure accurate, current, and complete documentation (work instructions, inspections, tests, records, etc.) is utilized and maintained

  • Lead root-cause analysis and implement timely corrective actions to maintain schedule, quality, and reliability

Basic Success Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace engineering, or a related field of study

  • 5+ years of manufacturing, design, and/or testing experience

  • 2+ years of experience with computer-aided design (CAD) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, such as NX and Teamcenter

  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) experience

  • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) experience

Preferred Success Criteria

  • Experience with CNC machinery (lathe, mill, waterjet, laser cutter, EDM)

  • Precision sheet-metal or plastic molding tooling design experience

  • Experience with industry or regulatory requirements such as AS9100, CFR 14 CFR 21.137, and/or 14 CFR Part 145

Position description

We are generating an applicant pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach regular and Summer Session courses, should an opening arise. In addition to lecturing responsibilities, general duties for these positions include laboratory teaching, holding regular office hours, assigning grades, advising students, and preparing course materials and exams.



We are also seeking applicants for Teacher Special Programs (TSP), should an opening arise. TSP instructors will be responsible for overseeing capstone projects in the Master of Engineering (MEng) program in the Department Mechanical Engineering. This includes: design and propose capstone projects and help match students into suitable projects. Meet with each capstone project team on a regular basis to review results, manage interpersonal aspects, and maintain efficient progress. Provide critical, constructive feedback on students' written reports and oral presentations. Coordinating and participating in the MS Plan II exam of each student at the end of the capstone project period. This pool encompasses engineering science and technology specializations relevant to both mechanical engineering and aerospace engineering.

Mechanical Foreman

Hopkins | Lacy, the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) Division of Branch, is searching for a dependable, conscientious Foreman to join our well-established, growing company. The Foreman will be supervising or assisting project leadership in the supervision of craft activities to ensure optimum productivity and construction compliance. This jobsite is a federal project and requires the candidate to pass a federal background check.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Ensures that crew maintains professional relations with Owner, Engineer, and other team members
  • Builds job by plans and specifications as directed by supervisor
  • Prior to commencing work activities, develops and communicates an effective plan in cooperation with the Superintendent for area of responsibility and determines the means and methods necessary to meet project goals
  • Assures the proper storage of materials and rented equipment including regular checks of job material and equipment inventory
  • Assures the proper operation and maintenance of equipment under their control, including appropriate applications for the respective equipment
  • Reviews Miss Utility policy and ensures employee compliance
  • Executes and follows all company and OSHA safety guidelines, educating workers on workplace safety practices
  • Preplans and schedules craft activities on a daily basis as required
  • Cognizance of inspection requirements and material/equipment requirements
  • Immediately reports any requests for extra work
  • Prepares/Assists superintendent in the preparation of daily, work unit quantity, and equipment reports, as well as a receipt of materials
  • Assist in the mentoring, training, and growth of other employee-owners
Duties/Responsibilities Cont.
  • Assures quality control and contract compliance of craft activity under supervision. Corrects or reports to the superintendent any suspicions of inaccurate layout
  • Supervises journeymen and laborers to determine that productivity and quality are to company standards
  • Is in direct charge of safety and accident control for the craft activity under supervision
  • Participates in safety meetings and the implementation of effective safety programs and communication of Miss Utility policy
  • Assures that work area is kept neat, clean, and safe. Conducts daily hazard analysis
  • Assists in conducting post-incident investigations
  • Assists in training and development of workers, recognizing those of talent and providing them with career enhancing opportunities

In this role, you will help ensure customer orders are processed accurately while providing product expertise and outstanding support to customers and internal teams.



What You’ll Do as a Product Specialist

In this role, you’ll support customers, vendors, and internal teams while ensuring accurate order processing and product support.

You’ll:

  • Respond to customers, vendors, and service providers in a courteous, professional, and timely manner
  • Receive and process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
  • Cross-sell additional products when appropriate to meet customer needs
  • Review customer and vendor purchase orders for accuracy and resolve pricing or ordering discrepancies
  • Assist customers with product information and application guidance for assigned product lines
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer needs are met
  • Track and report assigned information and metrics to management
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and help expand product offerings through vendor-provided data and Webstore information
  • Partner with Corporate Purchasing to ensure internal standards and goals are met
