Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing & Procurement Leadership:

  • Own end-to-end sourcing and procurement for raw materials, components, and outsourced manufacturing processes.

  • Lead competitive sourcing initiatives, supplier consolidations, and cost-reduction efforts.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while holding vendors accountable through performance metrics and reviews.

Inventory & Materials Management:

  • Own inventory planning, control, and accuracy across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Balance inventory levels to reduce excess and obsolete stock while preventing shortages.
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, material handling, and distribution processes.
  • Drive improvements in inventory turns, service levels, and working capital performance.
  • Leverage ERP/MRP systems to improve demand planning, purchasing decisions, and inventory visibility.


Manufacturing Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner closely with Operations, Production, Engineering, and Quality to support manufacturing schedules and material requirements.
  • Translate production demand into actionable sourcing and inventory plans.
  • Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and process improvements from a materials perspective.


Team Leadership:

  • Lead and develop a team of buyers, planners, and inventory/materials professionals.
  • Set clear expectations and foster accountability, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture within all material handling and warehouse areas.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment focused on sourcing, materials, and supply chain.
  • Strong hands-on sourcing and purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in inventory management and materials planning for manufacturing operations.
  • Experience working in small to mid-sized, privately held manufacturing companies.
  • Background sourcing raw materials and components (metals, plastics, coatings, machined parts, etc.).
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically.
  • Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.


Compensation Range: $90,000 - $125,000

Position Summary

Continuous Improvement

What you'll be doing:

  • Outbound: Compare quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct. Assign signature for outbound as necessary. Efficiently move products, cartons and or pallets into trailers, rail cars or containers.
  • Equipment: Maintain equipment in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. Operate equipment safely and efficiently. Comply with company standards and OSHA requirements.
  • Inventory: Keep accurate records and reports. Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts. Ensure proper stock rotation. May key inventory adjustments in computer.
  • Other Duties: Repack or re-box cases per customer instructions. Repair and consolidate damaged goods as required. Operate shrink-wrap machine. Charge forklift battery as needed; stack and or separate good from bad pallets when necessary; clean railcars, trailers, and truck docks, bays as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Corporate Materials and Inventory Manager

Summary

The Corporate Materials and Inventory Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, and execution of inventory management and materials control across all Gregory Industries manufacturing and distribution locations. This role ensures inventory accuracy, storage integrity, and disciplined transaction execution across receiving, production, and shipping operations.

The position serves as the enterprise champion for ERP accuracy, inventory controls, cycle counting, and standardized warehouse processes, while driving continuous improvement through data‑driven reporting and cross‑functional collaboration.

 

Job Core Responsibilities


Inventory Accuracy & Control

  • Own and govern enterprise‑wide inventory accuracy across all sites, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and financial controls.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve inventory control policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely inventory transactions at all inventory touchpoints, including:
  • Receiving
  • Production consumption and reporting
  • Inter‑site transfers
  • Shipping and customer fulfillment
  • Partner with Finance and Purchasing to support accurate inventory valuation, audits, and physical inventory processes.

Cycle Counting & Physical Inventory

  • Design, implement, and manage a robust cycle count program across all locations.
  • Define cycle count strategies (ABC classification, frequency, tolerances, root‑cause analysis).
  • Lead reconciliation and corrective action processes to address inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure consistent execution and accountability at each site.

Warehouse & Storage Management

  • Provide functional leadership for warehouse operations, focusing on:
  • Storage integrity and location accuracy
  • Material handling best practices
  • FIFO/lot control compliance
  • Space utilization and layout optimization
  • Standardize warehouse processes across sites while allowing for operational flexibility where required.

ERP & Systems Leadership

  • Act as the corporate champion for ERP inventory and materials modules.
  • Ensure master data accuracy (items, BOMs, routings, locations, units of measure).
  • Partner with IT, Operations, and Finance on system enhancements, upgrades, and issue resolution related to inventory and materials management.
  • Train and coach site teams on proper ERP usage and transaction discipline.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain standardized inventory and materials reporting across all sites.
  • Monitor and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), including but not limited to:
  • Inventory accuracy
  • Inventory turns
  • Obsolescence and excess inventory
  • Cycle count performance
  • Transaction error rates
  • Provide actionable insights to leadership to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement & Process Excellence

  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives related to materials flow, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
  • Identify systemic issues and drive root‑cause corrective actions.
  • Support lean manufacturing, operational excellence, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
  • Share best practices across locations and ensure consistent execution.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and IT teams.
  • Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and capacity expansions from an inventory and materials perspective.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert during audits, system implementations, and operational reviews.

 

 

  • Education & Experience:
  • bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in inventory management, materials management, or warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multi‑site operations.
  • Strong ERP experience with hands‑on responsibility for inventory transactions and controls.
  • Proven ability to design and sustain cycle count and inventory accuracy programs.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and process‑improvement skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in metals, industrial manufacturing, or heavy manufacturing environments.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, APICS (CPIM/CSCP), or similar certifications.
  • Experience leading or supporting ERP implementations or major system upgrades.

The Material Handler reports to the Materials Operations Manager and is responsible for safely performing job functions at the highest level of quality and will be an onsite role. Pall is ready to offer a great position with leadership opportunity.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Pick and stage material for shipment by interpreting work orders and sales order for material/delivery requirements.
  • Receive inbound shipments; ship outbound material; all related/corresponding activities which includes managing and communicating with internal and external customers via email and by Microsoft Teams.
  • Load and unload material from various carriers while using computers and scanners to perform transactions as well as other duties requested, as assigned.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years experience with Material Handling or warehouse environment.
