The Opportunity:
Facilities and Business Operations is seeking to hire a Materials Handler II at the UCF Downtown campus. The Materials Handler II is responsible for supporting daily operations by receiving, processing, and delivering materials, supplies, and packages to university departments. This role also maintains the Receiving Bay and assists other Receiving, Stores, and Surplus staff as needed.
Responsibilities:
Receive and unload incoming shipments.
Verify accuracy of deliveries by comparing packing slips with purchase orders.
Sort, count, package, label, insure, unpack, and/or log inventory for processing.
Inspect incoming materials for damage or defects and record discrepancies.
Notify supervisor and/or recipient of any issues with shipments.
Deliver materials and packages to requesting university departments.
Obtain authorized signatures for delivered items.
Maintain department databases and prepare routine reports.
File shipping and receiving records in an organized manner.
Operate equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts as needed.
Follow all departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Ensure proper care and use of tools, equipment, and supplies.
Willingness or ability to obtain a forklift certification.
Process or notify Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) regarding hazardous or universal waste shipments according to policy.
Warehouse & Facility Maintenance.
Organize and maintain the "Shop Stock" warehouse, including labeling items with part numbers and pricing when available.
Keep the receiving area, warehouse, and service yard clean and orderly.
Additional Duties
Assist other Facilities Operations areas during staffing shortages or emergencies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experienceor an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or materials handling in an institutional or industrial setting.
Working knowledge of inventory control practices, including sorting, labeling, logging, and tracking materials.
Familiarity with using warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, and forklifts (forklift certification preferred).
Experience handling hazardous or universal waste or working within EH&S guidelines.
Strong attention to detail when verifying packing slips, purchase orders, and shipment accuracy.

This role supports daily warehouse and production operations by safely handling materials, preparing pallets, and ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality standards. It requires coordination between warehouse and production teams to ensure efficient product flow and proper handling of materials.
In this role you'll make an impact by:
- Setting up pallets and preparing materials for production and shipment.
- Replenishing picked and empty trolleys between the freezer and pack line.
- Completing pallets by wrapping, banding, icing, and placing into proper pallet storage.
- Loading and unloading trucks, including WW and Maersk shipments.
- Operating warehouse equipment, including: automatic shrink-wrap machine, electric bander and banding equipment, pallet walker, riding pallet walker, and platypus.
- Following procedures for handling damaged materials in the warehouse.
- Maintaining knowledge of allergen control practices within the warehouse.
- Understanding and following warehouse cleaning practices, the master sanitation schedule, and overall property maintenance requirements.
- Participating in and supporting the inspection processes, including raw material inspections.
- Following quarantine procedures for non-conforming materials.
To succeed you must hold:

Quad in Sussex is seeking a Part-Time Material Handler, Truck Loader. The Material Handler will be responsible for the loading of finished product onto semi-trailers with the use of a propane sit down forklift, an on-board PC and RF bar coding system.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understands and follows all standard operating and safety procedures.
- Performs all post-skidding operations, which may include strapping, banding, wrapping, card-boarding, boxing, baling, weighing and compressing.

As a Material Handler, you are a vital part vital part of our team! In this position, you will be responsible for receiving raw materials, supplying production with raw materials, performing cycle counts, maintaining orderly warehouse and operating power industrial equipment (training provided).
From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Responsible for all aspects of food safety and quality, as applicable and defined in plant and department procedures.
- Stage or deliver raw materials needed for all production lines on a daily basis including cups, lids, fruit, and cardboard.
- Work with other Material Handlers and filler operators to ensure materials needed are staged in a timely fashion.
- Receive in-coming raw materials and supplies.
- Use handheld device receive and transfer inventory items in and out of warehouse stock.
- Facilitate raw material cycle counts and assist in reconciling inventory to aid Procurement in the release of purchase orders.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of all dry goods warehouse.

- Unload collected recyclable material into balers and other dedicated recycling bins.

- Receive plant chemicals and transfer them into secondary storage containers.
- Prepare collection bins as needed. Operate the bin washer if necessary.
- Create bales of plastic & cardboard from the vertical balers, and manually bale rebox cardboard.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Night Shift Material Handler to support our Assembly Plant. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials, ensuring that supplies and products are delivered where and when they are needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move materials within the facility using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment
- Deliver materials and components to assembly areas in a timely manner
- Ensure materials are transported and stored properly to prevent damage or loss
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies during material handling activities
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate material needs
You Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, assembly or logistics environment preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 pounds)

Assists in the buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
Serves as liaison between company and ULD repair vendor, as required.

Since operating motorized conveyances is required in this job, employee must possess a valid driver's license.
