The Opportunity:
The Quantitative Credit/Derivative Portfolio Manager will be responsible for Credit hedging across the MassMutual General Investment Account. This includes performing daily portfolio management activities, such as rebalancing risk and evaluating tactical relative-value tradeoffs, while also contributing to the research of alternative hedging strategies employing simulation and back-testing techniques. The Quantitative Credit/Derivative Portfolio Manager will work closely with teams across Investment Management, Barings, Enterprise Risk, Corporate Finance, and Strategic Distribution.
The Team:
The Quantitative Portfolio Management (QPM) team has primary focus in asset-liability management (ALM), product pricing, and the formulation and execution of quantitative strategies that enhance policyholder surplus and mitigate unwanted risks in the portfolio. The team oversees all derivative-related aspects of MassMutual’s portfolio management process, managing exposure to interest-rates, foreign exchange rates, Credit spreads, volatility, and equity. A small and highly collaborative team, QPM works with other groups across Investment Management to manage MassMutual's product portfolios and the approximately $250 billion General Investment Account (GIA). In addition, this high-profile group works with our other internal stakeholders including product, actuarial, treasury, accounting, risk, compliance, and external partners, including our primary asset management subsidiary Barings and the major Wall Street derivative broker/dealer counterparties.
The Impact:
The Quantitative Credit/ Derivative Portfolio Manager will be accountable for the following:
- Responsible for daily portfolio management activities like execution of new hedges, roll of existing ones, and trade input as well as review of current risk, recent activity, attribution, profit and loss, and modeling of credit exposure in different portfolios
- Identify market opportunities, analyze alternative hedging strategies, propose and implement frameworks for relative value positioning, and suggest transactions, to increase hedge effectiveness for portfolio management
- Lead bespoke simulation, back-testing and/or other research projects
- Collaborate with colleagues in other areas of MassMutual as needed – enterprise risk, corporate actuarial, finance and accounting, etc.
The Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years of derivative market experience in at least one of the following: listed and OTC equity options, TRS, futures/forwards, CDX, interest rate swaps/swaptions, and cross- currency swaps
- 7+ years of market expertise in fixed income portfolio management, with exposure to structured & private credit
- Bachelors in Math, Financial Engineering, Computer Science or related field
The Ideal Qualifications:
- 10+ years of derivative market experience
- Advanced quantitative degree (MFE, PhD)
- Strong background/understanding of capital markets and financial instruments
- Strong quantitative expertise: statistics, mathematics, and computer science (python / SQL required)
- Ability to develop market views in Credit and Fixed-Income
- Strong understanding of portfolio management and ALM
- Deep knowledge of derivatives in all dimensions – risk, economics, tax, accounting
- Strong background/understanding of capital markets and financial instruments

The Opportunity
As an Investment Tax Accountant in the Investment Tax group, you will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, primarily supporting securities tax operations, including system and process efficiency and enhancements, and you will support projects and strategic initiatives for other investment types, such as partnerships, real estate, and derivatives. The ideal candidate will have a convergent skillset of technical tax, accounting, and system proficiency, experience navigating large data sets, excellent communication skills, and the ability to partner effectively with tax colleagues, finance organization teams, and across the broader investment ecosystem. This position, in collaboration with cross-functional teams, will be responsible for analyzing securities transactions and processes to ensure accurate tax outcomes are achieved and a reliable control environment is maintained. The Impact
The Investment Tax Accountant will help develop and execute Investment Tax goals and initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitor and track tax data quality and performance of securities tax results tracked in the Eagle processing system and compare to general ledger results.
- Participate in daily, cross-functional Eagle operational governance meetings and other discussions that analyze and track system issues and changes in securities across the investment data ecosystem.
- Participate in testing of Eagle software upgrades to ensure changes are applied accurately and existing software continues to operate as intended.
- Ensure accurate tax basis is maintained for investments tracked in Eagle and accurate rules are applied as intended to exception situations.

The Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
- 6+ years of tax experience, preferably in public accounting or financial service environments.

- Master’ degree in Taxation and/or CPA a plus.
- 8+ years of tax experience, preferably in public accounting or large financial services environments.
- Experienced tax and accounting technical knowledge, including tax code and regulations and GAAP accounting under ASC 740. Experience with Statutory Accounting Principles a plus.

The Opportunity
Working closely with MassMutual business partners, you'll help design and implement solutions that address unique security challenges, streamline incident response, and automate critical workflows. The role is centered on building and maintaining resilient logging, data pipeline, and SOAR platforms in collaboration with the Security Operations Center and Security Intelligence teams, directly supporting our mission to enhance detection, response, and overall security posture.
The Team
We are looking for fast thinking, eager to learn team players to join the Security Platforms team. When you join the Security Platforms team, you'll be working with a group of people who are passionate about our security, innovation, and the success of our business partners.
The Impact:
This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in advancing our enterprise's centralized logging and SOAR capabilities. You will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing centralized logging tools, data pipeline, and SOAR platforms at scale, ensuring robust visibility and rapid response across the organization. In addition, you will be working with internal customers and key stakeholders such as the Security Operations Center to onboard logs, manipulate data, create playbooks, write scripts, and configure integrations.
The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in information technology field
- 1+ years experience with centralized logging, SIEM, and data pipeline
- Weekly on-call duties assigned based on team rotation (currently once every 10 weeks)
The Ideal Qualifications
- Maintaining SIEM and data pipeline platform stability, diagnosing and resolving issues related to the platforms, creating, responding to, and resolving alerts, onboarding and parsing data
- Experience with SOAR platforms
