Summary
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for the initiation of standard therapy, ventilator management, protocols and diagnostic procedures. Responsible for providing care to infants, pediatrics, adults and geriatric patients as defined by competency.
PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.
2. *Initiates assessment and reassessment based on pulmonary condition including moderate sedation.
3. *Monitors and administers respiratory care modalities to patients; identifies contra-indications and patient response to therapy; records therapy and outcomes in the patients medical record.
4. *Develops plans for the delivery of respiratory care as directed by physician(s) or protocols.
5. *Contacts providers regarding changes in the patients condition and treatment needs.
6. *Performs arterial phlebotomy; draws from arterial lines.
7. Runs samples using IStat when competency is complete.
8. *Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and airway management.
9. Responds and participates in Bryans Rapid Response Teams (BRRTs).
10. Provides tracheotomy care/inner cannula changes. Provides stoma assessment and wound prevention as needed.
11. Provides ventilator management including non-invasive. May provide advanced ventilator modalities with competency, ie Nitric, cardiac weans, heliox and High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation )HFOV)
12. Supervises airway maintenance during intra-facility patient transport.
13. Participates in the orientation of new personnel and supervision of students.
14. Provides timely feedback to Respiratory Care Assistant Manager and Respiratory Care Manager and Clinical Respiratory Educator when assisting with orientees and students. May participate as an interns preceptor.
15. Performs electrocardiographs (ECGs); may perform Holter monitor/event extended holter patch set up.
16. Cleans, disinfects and sterilizes all respiratory equipment following current infection control guidelines; assembles equipment as required.
17. Assumes charge pager responsibilities to assign work, receive calls and delegate incoming requests from other caregivers.
18. Demonstrates an understanding of staffing workload and productivity measures.
19. *Performs respiratory care discharge planning.
20. *Provides disease/process-specific patient/family education.
21. May perform certain advance roles with training and competency ie, arterial line insertion and fluid/dressing change.
22. Those therapists transferring from the Critical Care Respiratory Therapist role, with current intubation competency as of 1-1-24, may continue to intubate.
23. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.
24. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an AMA program of Respiratory Care required. Licensure to practice respiratory care in the State of Nebraska required. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required. Must maintain an active RRT credential through the NBRC.
OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS:
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network.
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within six (6) months of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred for those working Pedatrics or the Emergency Department.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
(Physical Requirements are based on federal criteria and assigned by Human Resources upon review of the Principal Job Functions.)

Summary
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Department of Pharmacy has the responsibility for the implementation and coordination of drug control in the process of providing pharmaceutical care for patients of all ages within the Medical Center. The Clinical Pharmacist has the direct responsibility for the provision of quality and timely care to the patients of the Medical Center.
PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.
2. *Utilizes and maintains patient profiles; monitors drug therapy for efficacy, drug interactions, adverse drug reactions, contraindications, allergies, sensitivities, and cost; practices in a proactive, self-directed manner.
3. *Ensures that medications and combinations of medications dispensed constitute rational drug therapy; if questions arise regarding the rational nature of drug therapy, the Staff Pharmacist shall contact the appropriate health professional(s) in the course of patient care.
4. Participates in Pharmacy Department and Medical Center programs which evaluate the use of pharmaceuticals in the course of patient care.
5. *Encourages prescribers and other health professionals to use the Medical Center formulary; maintains control of the formulary system by contacting prescribers and other health professionals when a non-formulary drug is ordered and suggests appropriate formulary alternatives.
6. *Performs pharmacokinetic dosage calculations and evaluations as determined by the therapeutic needs of the patient.
7. Assists in the orientation, training, and assessment of Department personnel.
8. *Is accountable for the timely, safe and accurate distribution of medications, including the frequent use of professional judgment with regard to medication acquisition, storage, packaging, distribution and use.
9. *Is accountable for the transcription and evaluation of physician medication orders, preparation of patient specific unit dose medications, preparation of sterile admixture solutions, extemporaneous compounding, controlled substance distribution and outpatient medication preparation/dispensing.
10. *Clinically supervises pharmacy technicians throughout their shift to ensure the completion of assigned tasks; responsible for the tasks completed by the pharmacy technician.
11. *Adheres to safety and security procedures to promote a safe and secure environment.
12. *Compounds and dispenses medication orders accurately using proper labeling and documentation according to Pharmacy policies and procedures, State law and Federal law.
13. *Provides accurate drug information regarding drug therapy indications, dosage, administration, adverse effects, interactions, IV compatibility and formulary recommendations to physicians, nurses, patients, and other health professionals.
14. Participates, as requested, in Department and Medical Center programs which evaluate the use of pharmaceuticals in the course of patient care.
15. *Prioritizes workload and clinical interventions and assists Department and Medical Center staff as needed to ensure that optimal patient care is provided.

This is a full-time role based in Darien, Westport, or New Canaan, CT.

The base salary range for this role is $146,400 to $155,530 per year based on a full-time schedule. Final determination of starting pay may vary based on factors such as practice experience and patient care schedule. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. Key Responsibilities Weld steel subassemblies to AWS B2.1/B2.1M Create, prove out, and document dock leveler manufacturing process with emphasis on welding Active member on the launch team implementing the welding, painting, and assembly processes Accountable for every aspect of their work Check measurements and dimensions of each piece that's being worked on with rulers, measuring tapes or squares Place each product component in its appropriate location as noted in the blueprints for proper alignment by using a hammer, pry bar, jack, wedge, or another tool Mark spots to cut and use tools to manipulate steel, by cutting, hammering, bending, or grinding the workpiece Review blueprints, drawings, and other specification papers before starting work on a fabrication process and during the steps to ensure accurate completion Maneuver fabrication machines, such as grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, and shears, to cut, bend, grind and adjust materials Make templates for common work tasks when conducting repetitive motions for the fabrication process to ensure a set standard of work quality Skills Versatile in performing different manufacturing tasks/duties.

Occasional evening, 3rd shift, and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The position is responsible for the installation, startup assistance, and servicing machinery of various types.
These may be glass processing machines, food processing machines, or packaging machines, depending on the Division that requires the work.
Installation may involve marking centerlines, manipulating machines into position, leveling, anchoring, reassembly, re-wiring, re-plumbing, etc.
to bring the machine to operational readiness.
After installation, the technician may be involved in troubleshooting any problems found after installation.
Besides installation, existing machines may need to be serviced.
This may include visits to the customer's site for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting problems, making recommendations for parts that are required, and generally helping the customer with any problems that they may have with the machine, within the power and knowledge of the technician.
When not in the field, the technician may be required to help assemble machinery, startup machinery on the factory floor, and training of other individuals.
Essential Functions Travel to customer plant site/s to assist customer with install, and starting up machine.
Test machine to customer satisfaction.
Report issues to staff for corrective action and/or future improvements.
Travel to customer site for machinery service, maintenance, training, etc.
Assemble machinery according to blueprints and pneumatic prints Wire machinery to control panels according to schematics Assist Engineering/programmer with startup of machines Train customer or other team members Make recommendations to customers for parts that they will need and relay that information to Sales for quoting.
Ensure customers are completely satisfied with the machines.
Report working and traveling hours via a Service Report to HR, and obtain customer feedback via form.
Competencies Ability to read mechanical blueprints, as well as pneumatic and electrical blueprints Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with equipment Precision alignment, including use of indicators and other types of instruments needed for installation, alignment and calibration of machines.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally without issue Customer interaction/communication skills Professional appearance and demeanor Travel is REQUIRED.
Travel durations vary, but are typically one week.
International travel may be required which can have extended durations due to the travel time.
Travel and meal expenses and certain other expenses are paid, as well as other bonus compensation (but not guaranteed).
Travel estimation is 10-50% depending on various factors.
Required Education and Experience Technical Associates Degree, preferred, in Mechanical/Electrical Tech.
