What You Will Do:
Responsible for Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designs from conception to manufacturing
Creation of the PCB, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), and Schematic drawings for suppliers
Schematic Capture, Component Placement, Routing of Traces, Gerber/ODB++ file creation
Utilize software such as Siemens: Xpedition Enterprise and DownStream Technologies: BluePrint-PCB
Design layouts include Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex assemblies
Work designs to include full designs, re-spins, drawing updates, change notices, copper changes, and process improvement projects within and outside own discipline
Daily interface with various engineering levels along with different engineering disciplines including, but not limited to Electrical, Mechanical, Components, Test, and Producibility Engineering disciplines to ensure that the overall design requirements are captured, keeping cost, cycle time, and producibility in mind
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience to include any combination of the following:
Experience with PCB manufacturing or CCA manufacturing principles that affect circuitry and component layout with RF specific layout techniques
Experience with the electrical design process including RF layout
Experience with laying out Rigid, Flex, or Rigid-Flex boards
Experience with multi-layer board design
Qualifications We Prefer:
Working knowledge of Analog, Digital including DDR, specific experience with RF, Power, and mixed technology, including multi-layer designs with High Density Interconnect (HDI) technology
Technical PCB design skills using the Siemens design toolset including, but not limited to the Xpedition Layout tool suite with working knowledge of schematic capture, placement, routing, use of the auto-router, constraint manager, and library tools, and use of BluePrint to create complex PCB and CCA drawings, Altium is not used, but transfers over well to the Siemens toolset

POSITION – Process Engineer
Reporting to the Technical Director, the Process Engineer will collaborate with a talented team of engineers and scientists to help develop and manufacture cutting-edge Myrias Optics components and systems. Specifically, this position will support Myrias’ nanoimprint ink development efforts, working with our process and characterization teams to optimize the formulations and process conditions to enable imprinted optical devices with high performance, high yield and new functionality. This position will also be responsible for transitioning the technology to our manufacturing team whose goal will be to bring a high volume, high yield nanoimprint process to market for our optical components and subsystems. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and capable engineer to gain expertise in the growing fields of meta-optics, waveguides, and diffractive optics. Together, we can shape next-generation optical systems for consumer devices, AR, medical instrumentation, automobiles, robotics, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Process and formulation development:
- Work closely with the Myrias process, characterization and manufacturing teams to develop and optimize ink formulations meeting product requirements and production standards
- Work with our manufacturing team to transitioning fabrication knowledge and processing techniques for all-inorganic nanoimprinting to high volume production, including formulations, stamp making and imprint processes
- Assist with fabrication of components and systems based on Myrias’ proprietary materials and processes meeting quality and optical performance specifications
- Conduct comprehensive nanoimprint ink tests and optimization, including formulation, imprinting, and post processing (calcination, ashing, etching, atomic layer deposition and/or overcoating)
- Performing metrology for fabricated components by top-down and cross-sectional scanning electron microscopy, variable angle spectroscopic ellipsometry, UV-Vis-NIR spectrometry and contact angle measurements
- Work with Myrias optical characterization team to feedback optical test results into process optimization efforts to enabling a closed loop process
- Familiarity with characterization and testing of optical devices, including the use of lenses, mirrors, light sources, fiber optics, cameras, lasers, and other optical devices is a strong plus
- Establish detailed and thorough documentation for all operating procedures and production processes
- Assist in expand Myrias’ fabrication capabilities by identifying and implementing new process improvements
- Development and maintain comprehensive database of research data, sample/product travelers, characterization and yield data, and sample histories

- Participate in Sev1 and Sev2 incident response efforts, including incident bridge calls, as required.

This role sits at the intersection of software deployment, infrastructure engineering, and site reliability, ensuring complex software platforms are successfully installed, integrated with customer IT environments, and maintained at high levels of performance and stability.

Key Responsibilities
Deployment & Configuration
- Lead end-to-end deployments of imaging, AI, and data management software systems at customer environments
- Configure and integrate servers, clusters, and storage systems within hospital or laboratory IT infrastructures
- Work with networking, authentication, storage, and security configurations to ensure successful installations
- Collaborate with field engineering teams during system installation and commissioning
- Develop standardized deployment playbooks, documentation, and validation checklists
System Reliability & Upgrades
- Manage software version rollouts, upgrades, and patching across deployed customer environments

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in software deployment, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or systems engineering
- Strong Linux (Ubuntu) administration and scripting skills
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB
- Familiarity with web service configuration (Nginx or Apache)
- Solid understanding of networking concepts including VPNs, firewalls, and authentication systems
- Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems across software, infrastructure, and data layers
