Preferred applicants will have a minimum of three years of employment experience following completion of fellowship training.
Be licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice medicine in Indiana

Typical patient presentations include:

Key Responsibilities
Provide C-L psychiatric care to medically hospitalized pediatric patients
Collaborate closely with hospitalists, subspecialists, nursing, social work, psychology, and case mgt
Supervise and teach medical students, residents, and fellows as part of the IUSoM academic mission
Contribute to committees, program development, andimprovement initiatives
Engage in scholarly activity as desired (research not required, but opportunitiesavailable)
Schedule & Call
Current schedule: M-F, approximately 8:30a– 4:30p
Future opportunity: Potential transition to a 7-on / 7-off model that would include inpatient unit rounding on weekends
Call: Low commitment (approximately 2 weekends every 6 months)
Nighttime and overflow coverage supported by a designated team, supporting predictable end-of-day departures

About the Clinician's Workday
The gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive inpatient gastroenterology services Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, performing 1-5 scheduled procedures daily including both elective and urgent/emergent cases for inpatient and emergency department patients. The clinician will manage night call responsibilities during weeknights and provide weekend call coverage one weekend per month. All clinical documentation must be completed in EPIC EMR system. Board certification in gastroenterology is required for this position.
