Our company is seeking a Marine Safety Coordinator to assist in the safety operations of our vessels. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in maritime safety regulations and procedures as well as general maritime experience, sailing or otherwise.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety programs:
- Create and manage health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist SQE Director compiling data for the safety team meetings
- Assist SQE Director compiling data for the Management Review meetings
- Develop and draft new SMS procedures, forms and other documentation as required.
- Coordinate the drug testing program for random, post-incident, and reasonable cause testing.
- Manage the Safety Incentive Program
- Review, track and trend claims, Casualty Reports, Injury Reports, Near Miss Reports and Non-Conformance Reports.
- Develop and draft new GIM (General Information for Masters), Engineering Bulletins, Lessons Learned Reports, Safety Findings, and Safety Line Newsletter
- Attend inspections and audits
- Support scheduling and coordination of Internal and External Audits / Inspections
- Attend Internal and External Audits as directed by the SQE Director.
- Assist with incident investigation
- Analyze accidents, near misses, and other safety incidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Assist with the Close-out of non-conformities and other audit findings.
- Maintain Safety Department records
- Keep accurate and organized records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents.
- Monitor and track safety metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Support onboarding and orientation for new office personnel on SMS and Keystone Quality System
- Promote safety culture: Collaborate with management and employees to foster a strong safety culture and provide guidance on safety-related matters.
- Ensure regulatory compliance: Stay up-to-date on safety regulations and ensure the company adheres to all legal requirements.
- Assists as directed in the Operations Department
Requirements and Desired Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Degree from a Maritime Academy
- Having or ability to obtain a TWIC
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of marine shipping industry legislation and industry standards
- Able to embark/disembark large, high freeboard vessels via a pilot ladder and/or gangway

The scope of the company is general contracting and construction work, along with any associated services related to large, selected Design and Build projects, either public or private for which it can bring clear and strong added value. We aim to develop engineering and construction services for large infrastructure projects in various parts in the United States and provide a highly skilled and competitive professional service in construction field.
Project Overview:
As part of the Hampton Roads Connector Partners (HRCP) Joint Venture (JV) consisting of VINCI Construction, Dragados, and Flatiron has been selected to construct the $3.3BN Design Build project – the largest civil construction contract ever awarded by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
The project scope across a 9-mile section of the I-64 will include: a new 3.5-mile bridge-tunnel crossing that will accommodate a total of 8 lanes of capacity across the water, replacement of the existing marine approach bridges and the addition of a third lane on I-64 in each direction. The twin 45’ diameter 1.5-mile tunnels will be bored by TBM, creating the second largest TBM tunnel opening for a TBM in North America. The project is expected to continue to the beginning of 2027.
Responsibilities:
As a Civil Works General Superintendent on the $3.3BN Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel Expansion Project (HRBT) in Virginia, you will schedule, coordinate, and supervise production and workforce engaged on your assigned area of the project.
- Supervises assigned project work and liaises between field engineering, estimating, and workforce to ensure
- project compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
- Plans work methods, materials, equipment needs, and work schedule for assigned project work. Reviews
- daily work schedule with direct reports, and provides input for weekly/monthly schedule updates based on
- project feedback.
- Reviews and understands the project specifications to support job setup activities. Works with work crews,
- field engineers and local utility companies to identify hazardous areas on the job site.
- Presents production work plan during initial project meeting to ensure all project crews and leaders are in
- alignment.
- Coordinates with the internal equipment team and external vendors to ensure that the project is equipped with
- appropriate equipment and material quantities to complete production within the assigned budget and
- schedule.
- Forecasts the work schedule to identify possible issues and provides technical or scheduling support
- recommendations to mitigate production issues.
- Provides technical input to identify and resolve project risks, including construction methods, work plan, material requirements, safety, and schedule activities. Documents daily activities and meeting notes using
- Company-approved document methods.
- Coordinates with internal and external departments to ensure all mandated inspections are completed
- within the requested timeframes.
- Supports and promotes strict adherence to safety and process controls regarding operating equipment,
- worksite safety and documentation requirements.
- Supervises subcontractor production and workforce regarding assigned project work. Recommends work
- schedule or work-method adjustments regarding subcontractor activities, as needed.
- Coordinates projects close out activities in line with project standards and Owner checklist requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
- 7+ years of heavy civil construction experience (roads/bridges/marine/tunneling), with at least 3+ years of management experience required.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills are required.
- Strong leadership capability with internal drive to mentor and grow internal talent.
- Advanced knowledge of the construction site equipment operation and maintenance
- requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of construction site safety protocols and proven ability to enforce the project safety programs.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standards and contract-specific plans and specifications.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics, and fundamental geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint)
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, techniques, and best practices.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Work Environment:
- The position requires extensive on-site presence, often in challenging and potentially hazardous conditions.
- Occasional office work for project planning and reporting.
- Working on uneven and potentially hazardous terrain, including working at heights, underground, or near water bodies depending on the bridge/ tunnel location.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures as well as high levels of noise and varying levels of dust.
Physical Demands:
- The employee is required to stand; walk; climb ladders; sit; use hands, climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Must be able to lift 50lb or more.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and reflective vests when on-site.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Purchase Orders (POs):
Create PO's, process requisitions and place orders for necessary goods, materials and services:
- Create separate PO’s for sales orders and stock items.
- Verify pricing, due dates and shipping methods (Ship Via) are correct before finalizing each PO.
- Select the best vendor for each purchase, unless a specific manufacturer is required. (‘best vendor’ is defined by price, availability, quality, etc.)
- Ensure material surplus was checked prior to placing PO.
- Ensure receipt of confirmation from vendor on each PO.
- Attach confirmation to each PO in ERD system.
- Inform salesperson if there are any discrepancies with PO (quantity, price, lead times).
- Attach any certificates to PO.
- Assist with min/ max stock levels.
- Assist with stock purchases for raw goods.
Quotes
Prepare quotes for Sales team members and/ or for required stock parts:
- Source and evaluate multiple quotes for best price, quality, reliability, and lead times.
Return Material Authorizations (RMA)
Complete an RMA on materials that need to be returned to the vendor:
- Communications with the vendor.
- Completion of the paperwork.
- Ensure delivery to our Expeditor for further processing.
Documentation:
- Review the MSDS Book regularly to ensure it is up-to-date and includes MSDS sheets on all products and materials.
- Collect RoHs, Reach, Conflict Minerals, Prop 65, PFAS and TSCA documentation from vendors.
Sourcing and Vendor Management:
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with vendors, both new and current.
- Research and evaluate potential vendors based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery times.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to obtain the best possible value for the company.
- Create and maintain a vendor rating program, including defining key performance indicators to improve the company’s procurement efficiency and vendor relationships.
Miscellaneous Duties:
- Assist with receiving POs for direct shipments and stage in ERP System.
- Assist with attaching spec sheets and pictures of parts.
- Cover other purchasing responsibilities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCTION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree (two years of college) preferred
- MUST have 3 to 5 years of working knowledge in purchasing sealing products pertaining to the Oil & Gas and Marine industries.

- Pay will depend on working knowledge and experience.

On ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. - Your challenges: *
- Primary Responsibilities:*
- Set-up and implement equipment for the Back Shop and Production in Final Assembly Lines. Advises on best practices utilized for floor setup and traffic strategy at other Final Assembly Lines.
- Oversee the qualification of ADU (Automated Drilling Unit) and support their entry into service at the supplier site: FAL-USA.
- Responsible for the adjustment of ADUs, cutting tools and drilling templates.
- Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repair of ADUs.
- Provide oversight and limited instruction to employees using equipment for the first time(s).
- Support the Head of Back Shops and the production line in technical problem solving, regarding ADU's, cutting tools, drilling templates and test equipment.
- Must be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of the type of mechanical work performed in the FAL Back Shop.
- Maintains a high level of skills and is generally perceived as an authority regarding ADU maintenance and adjustment.

- Training from a vocational school, military training or previous employer in the use of application tools and in application techniques.
- Required *Experience:**
- 2 years minimum experience with hands-on experience in the maintenance of industrial equipment, ADU's, drilling templates, cutting tools or test equipment.

- 5+ years minimum experience in with hands-on experience in the maintenance of industrial equipment, ADU's, drilling templates, cutting tools and test equipment.
- *Physical Requirements:**
- Vision : adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions
- Hearing : able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
- Speaking : able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
- Equipment Operation : Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment. Working on jigs at the fuselage at a height of 15 feet. Able to work on hydraulic lifts sometimes at a height of up to 40 feet.
- Confined Space : able to enter and exit a 12" x 22" passage and work through a 9.7" x 17.7" opening while using a respirator within a confined space for various lengths of time
- Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 55lbs/25kg while engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.
- Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 55lbs/25kg.
- Pushing/Pulling : able to push/pull items in office areas.
- Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer and in meetings.
- Squatting/Kneeling : able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
- Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.
- Travel: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time.
- Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces.
