The Transportation Logistics Analyst is responsible for analyzing and optimizing our transportation process, working with 3PL carriers to get our product to retailers across the United States. Focusing on outbound shipments, the Transportation Logistics Analyst will trace, track, and record OTR-Over The Road shipments while focusing on ways to optimize the transportation process, create efficiencies, and reduce costs. Additional responsibilities include daily and weekly calls with 3PL carriers, create shipments through EDI/Electronic Data Interchange and SAP, analyze data, and run outbound transportation related reports.
Located on-site at the HARIBO of America corporate headquarters in Rosemont, Illinois, the Transportation Logistics Analyst will have a Bachelor's Degree and at least three years of experience working in logistics, transportation carrier/freight industry or related logistics roles. Additionally, will possess advanced Excel skills.
Responsibilities
- Focus on outbound (OB) transportation with 3PL, OTR-Over The Road carriers
- Track orders and shipments
- Create shipments and transfers, review orders, review shipments, upload data in our EDI and SAP systems and review for errors
- Attend daily and weekly calls with 3PL carriers
- Run reports, analyze data, make recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Utilize Excel for reporting and analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of related experience in logistics, transportation carrier/freight industry, or related role
- Prior experience utilizing an ERP system for logistics/supply chain purposes

Target Hiring Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000 annually

Position Overview
The Senior Air Import Specialist will play a critical role in managing inbound air freight operations and coordinating with international suppliers and logistics partners to ensure shipments move efficiently from origin to final delivery. A large portion of this role will support pharmaceutical and life sciences imports, requiring a high level of accuracy, attention to documentation, and coordination with partners handling temperature-sensitive and regulated shipments.
This role serves as a key point of contact between suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure shipments are processed efficiently and in compliance with import regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage international air import shipments from origin through final delivery
- Communicate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and airline partners to schedule and track inbound air freight
- Support the import of pharmaceutical and life sciences products, ensuring proper handling and documentation for regulated or temperature-sensitive shipments
- Prepare, review, and process air import documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and arrival notices
- Work closely with customs brokers to ensure timely and compliant customs clearance
- Monitor inbound shipments and proactively address flight delays, customs holds, or documentation issues
- Coordinate domestic transportation and final delivery once shipments arrive at U.S. airports
- Ensure compliance with U.S. import regulations, customs requirements, and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, freight invoices, and import documentation
- Track freight costs, duties, and tariffs when applicable
- Provide shipment updates and logistics reporting to internal teams and stakeholders

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
- 5+ years of corporate tax or public accounting experience
- Strong technical expertise in ASC 740 and corporate income tax
- Experience preparing and reviewing tax provisions and compliance filings
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment
