Job Summary:
The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the development of 3DEOs proprietary slicing engine and the end-to-end software platform that powers our metal 3D printing process. This role focuses on geometry processing, toolpath generation, and digital workflows used across our vertically integrated production system. Ideal candidates have experience building slicers, simulation tools, or manufacturing automation software and enjoy working at the intersection of software and hardware in a fast-moving RD environment.

Essential Functions:
? Develop and maintain core slicing algorithms including path planning, infill generation, and motion logic
? Implement and optimize geometry processing tools (mesh repair, offsetting, tessellation, Boolean ops)
? Contribute to the architecture of the internal production platform, including job tracking and printer interfacing
? Integrate slicing logic with upstream and downstream systems including UI, hardware control, and analytics
? Collaborate closely with mechanical, controls, and process engineers to translate physical constraints into software rules
? Write clean, well-documented, and testable code to support scalable manufacturing
? Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions

Required Qualifications:
? Strong programming skills in C++, Rust, or Python
? Experience with computational geometry, 3D data structures, or mesh processing
? Familiarity with additive manufacturing toolchains or CNC-style toolpath generation
? Ability to work in a cross-functional RD environment with hardware and process teams
? Comfortable building production-grade software in a fast-paced, iterative setting
? Experience with continuous integration (CI) pipelines, static code analysis, and unit testing

Preferred Qualifications:
? Experience with industry standard or related geometry engines/libraries
? Familiarity with motion control systems, G-code generation, or machine integration protocols
? Background in data pipelines or job tracking for manufacturing operations
? Prior work on metal additive manufacturing or CNC-based systems

Education and Experience:

? 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 12 years in a manufacturing, robotics, or 3D graphics setting
? Open-source contributions to slicing software or experience building AM/CAM toolchains is a plus

Responsibilities

In your role as a Radar Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing digital and analog circuits for our next-generation Radar system. You will be involved in all phases of development, from conception to production, tracing system-level requirements through to circuit-level design. You will drive the design and layout of a multi-processor with an FPGA on chip using DDR 4 memory, as well as designing switching and linear power supplies. The high-speed digital design is complemented by high-frequency analog and RF design up to 12GHz. You will own the schematic, layout, artwork generation and bring-up of hardware. You will be collaborating with the cross-functional teams, including mechanical and system engineering. You will be responsible for the certification of your design to DO-160, DO-254 design assurance and FCC certification. • Track Owner‑Furnished/Contractor‑Installed (OFCI) equipment delivery dates and identify potential problem areas

• Collaborate with superintendents and subcontractors to gain buy‑in on corrective solutions

• Perform detailed schedule analysis activities, including:

• Running DCMA schedule checks

• Comparing updates against contractual baselines and prior reporting periods

• Reviewing activities running in parallel

• Evaluating multiple float paths

• Identifying variance drivers and schedule risks

• Recommending corrective actions

• Standardize Level 1 (L1) and Level 2 (L2) milestones to enable comparison across multiple construction projects

• Validate that constraints are applied only where required on L1 and L2 milestone activities

• Ensure the critical path is logical, continuous, and defensible

• Translate, create, and update schedule sequences overlaid on PDF drawings to visually communicate workflow and phasing

• Support the Project Controls team by providing professional scheduling expertise to help accelerate the client’s speed‑to‑market

• Develop scheduling policies and procedures and facilitate training for internal and external stakeholders

• Contribute to planning and sequencing efforts from project concept through commissioning

• Define activities, scope, durations, logic ties, interfaces, and resource loading

• Review and analyze critical path schedules collaboratively with Superintendents

• Develop comprehensive plans that communicate program, project, and strategic objectives

• Monitor schedule performance data, perform complex data analysis, and generate schedule reports in accordance with management and project requirements

• Identify and incorporate project constraints into planning efforts

• Perform Time Impact Analyses and schedule‑related claims analysis

• Develop detailed schedule variance analyses

• Run schedule risk scenarios using Monte Carlo simulations and other risk analysis techniques
