Senior Trusts and Estates Paralegal

Key Responsibilities
Estate Planning Support
• Draft estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives
• Prepare asset summaries, trust funding materials, and planning packets
• Assist with revisions, proofreading, and final document preparation
• Coordinate signings and ensure execution requirements are met
• Maintain organized and confidential client files
Estate and Trust Administration
• Prepare probate pleadings and filings for Florida courts
• Gather and organize financial and asset information
• Communicate with fiduciaries, beneficiaries, advisors, and financial institutions
• Assist with estate and trust accountings
• Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submissions
Tax and Compliance Support
• Assist with federal estate tax returns (706), gift tax returns (709), and fiduciary income tax matters
• Gather supporting documentation and track key filing dates
• Coordinate with CPAs and financial advisors
• Maintain records needed for ongoing tax compliance
Client Service and Practice Support
• Maintain a consistent billable workload
• Communicate professionally with clients and advisors
• Track case progress and follow up on outstanding items
• Assist attorneys with organization across multiple active matters
What They Are Looking For
• At least 7 years of Trusts and Estates paralegal experience in a law firm environment
• Strong understanding of Florida probate procedures and estate planning concepts
• Experience with estate and gift tax filings is preferred
• Ability to support high net worth estate planning matters
• Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Professional communication skills and a client focused approach
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant planning or tax software

Key Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in litigation, administrative hearings, records requests, policy matters, and public agency work.
