Boeing Defense Space & Security is seeking a Mid-Level or Senior Systems Engineer to join us as part of our Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) In-Service and Project Engineering team located in Richardson, TX or Berkeley, MO.

The Advanced Airborne Sensor is a multi-function radar used on the P-8 Poseidon. The team is responsible for developing and performing engineering for production, sustainment, modification and improvements of military and commercial derivative aircraft. This position will work closely with the supply chain, suppliers, program manager, contracts, estimating, engineering, and/or customers to execute the program. In this role you integrate technical requirements and schedule demands with suppliers, coordinate engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product, manage a diverse set of projects, and lead proposal development.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and day-to-day management of suppliers, including regular engagement with supply chain to monitor and improve supplier performance. Serve as Equipment Manager for multiple sub assemblies.
  • Build and sustain strong partnerships with suppliers, customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional peers.
  • Communicate program status, key risks, issues, and opportunities to customers and leadership, and clearly articulate required support or decisions.
  • Develop clear, compliant supplier statements of work (SSOW) for ongoing and new requirements, and lead execution to ensure on-time, on-scope delivery.
  • Collaborate with customers to define technical requirements and translate them into actionable delivery plans.
  • Generate an effective set of metrics to communicate status of contract deliverables.
  • Manage program deliverables by developing risk-mitigation strategies, tracking issues and opportunities, and monitoring baseline plans to evaluate project performance and capture lessons learned.

Job Responsibilities Confer with customers or service advisors to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, and to discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment Perform quality inspections of vehicle repairs prior to returning the vehicle to the customer Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc Communicate directly with the service advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.

Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications Master Level Automotive Technicians will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver.

Chrysler (or any other major franchise) Certification highly preferred Must have at least 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician 5 National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications (all 8 preferred) Must have some level of instructor led automotive training (e.g.
