How You'll Contribute:
This remote based Associate Legal Counsel position provides accurate and timely counsel to our sales and operations organizations to address and resolve legal issues, supporting commercial transactions and customer management. The successful candidate must have the ability to deal with complex matters while operating in a fast-paced environment, providing effective and practical counsel on a variety of commercial transactional legal matters.
What You'll Do:
- The job responsibilities of the Associate Legal Counsel include:
- Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including domestic and international product and services agreements, vendor/dealer agreements, and strategic relationship agreements.
- Provide legal advice on intellectual property issues, data protection, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams providing contract interpretation and support understanding and addressing legal and business concerns associated with commercial transactions.
- Execute and maintain the company's business and contractor licenses, ensuring compliance and tracking renewals when and if needed as a backup on this task.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of operational internal governance policies and authorities.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in one or more states.
- 5+ years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate environment handling corporate law matters, with a focus on commercial transactions.
- Strong understanding of intellectual property, data protection and privacy laws.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and drafting skills.
- A high level of self-motivation with the ability to work independently with a commitment to client services and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with common business software tools, such as Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).

Position Overview
The Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support to attorneys across multiple practice areas. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can proactively manage case-related tasks in a fast-paced legal environment.
The position supports a small practice group consisting of attorneys handling matrimonial law, employment law, and arbitration matters.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative and clerical support to multiple attorneys across practice groups

Anticipate department needs and proactively track and support case progress

We are seeking a stellar Account Executive to develop our relationships within the legal community. This position will grow our product sales (advertising, websites, and other products) markets and be a major contributor to building our business. Our role will positively impact those seeking a challenging yet rewarding career in sales.
What You’ll Do In This Role:
Our team members will acquire new accounts through high-volume outbound cold-calling, networking and marketing opportunities with attorneys and legal firms. Present and educate Martindale-Avvo advertising solutions and other products to potential clients. Demonstrate the ability to manage negotiations and close transactions while providing information on the client's return on investment. Consistently perform to the highest level by meeting and exceeding new business and revenue goals. Ability to adapt and change within a fluid business environment. Meet and exceed revenue goals.

This is a base + commission role with a base of $50k.

Responsibilities:
- Researching trademark and copyright laws
- Conducting trademark searches
- Preparing and filing trademark applications
- Maintaining and managing trademark disputes. Including opposing and defending against third-party trademark infringement claims
- Responding to office actions
- Maintaining client files
- Handling correspondence with the USPTO
- Supporting lawyer (s) by managing calendars and schedules
- Keeping track of deadlines
- Assisting with trademark maintenance and enforcement
- Interacting with clients
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program – preferred but not required
- Two (2+) years of directly related experience to the position
- Experience with trademark management software ( preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
