Key Responsibilities

KBR is seeking a Sr. Principal Operations Research Analyst to join a multi-disciplinary team consisting of operational military and intelligence subject matter experts (SMEs), operations research analysts, modelers, and software engineers who conduct modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of emerging concepts for the Defense Advanced Projects Research Agency (DARPA) using advanced MS&A techniques and tools. The selected candidate will:

• Lead or support the conduct of studies for senior-level military decision makers, technology developers, and acquisition professionals for use in CONOPS development, force structure design, resource allocation, and targeted technology insertion.
• Develop and execute an experiment design approach, identify key metrics for simulation output, analyze results, generate insights and information, and present findings to senior DoD leaders.
• Develop and/or refine an analytic pipeline; interact with third-party software developers to incorporate this analytic pipeline into the modeling & simulation (M&S) tool.
• Conduct pre- and post-simulation analyses as needed.
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain analytic dashboard prototypes for incorporation into the MS&A software suite.
• Be prepared to instantiate platform and system models, model behaviors, and model hierarchies in the designated M&S environment as required.
• Work independently with little direction or guidance except in the most complex of situations.

Qualifications

Required:

• Master’s Degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related STEM discipline with 10 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of simulation analysis and experiment design & analysis techniques
• High level of proficiency in R, MATLAB, Python, JupyterLab and/or Jupyter Notebook
• Basic proficiency in a mission-level combat modeling & simulation framework such as AFSIM or NGTS

Desired

• PhD in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related STEM discipline with 15 years of relevant experience
• Deep knowledge of simulation analysis and experiment design & analysis techniques
• High level of proficiency a mission-level combat modeling & simulation framework such as AFSIM or NGTS
• Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or equivalent certification

Basic Compensation

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation

Key Responsibilities:

• Acquisition Experience: Provide Acquisition Program Management support designed to assist various product teams in developing and drafting acquisition documentation including, but not limited to: Acquisition Strategies and Plans, Acquisition Program Baselines, Test and Evaluation Master Plans, System Engineering Plans, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans.
• Policy Experience: Apply in-depth knowledge of IC and agency level policy along with a wide range of analytical measurement skills to assist product teams with developing, maintaining, and coordinating Milestone Decision Authority acquisition packages for Milestone approval. Serve as a subject matter expert in Acquisition, aiding in educating the workforce and tracking evolving Acquisition policy.
• Documentation Experience: Develop, draft, provide, and update documentation for acquisition programs to include all documentation required for program Milestone events (MDD, MS A, MS B, MS C, Full Rate Production, Type Classification/Material Release, etc.).
• Critical Thinking: Apply in-depth knowledge of publications, acquisition policy and critical thinking skills to assist product teams with developing, maintaining, and coordinating decision packages (e.g., Corporate Review Boards, Milestone B, Type Classification, Materiel Release) for approval.
• Software Experience: Utilize collaboration software (e.g., Microsoft SharePoint, Global Electronic Approval Routing System) in order to maintain, route, track, and update documentation.
• Support Experience: Support program personnel with programmatic related actions including: preparation of Program Reviews, Decision Briefs, Quad Charts, and Program Procurement and RDT&E Forms.
• Requirements Experience: Provide support to Combat Development community, as required, and assist with the development/update of requirements documents for programs to include: Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), Initial Capabilities Document (ICD), Capability Development Document (CDD), Directed Requirements, Operational Needs Statements (ONS).

KBR is seeking a skilled Automated Material Handling Equipment (AMHE) Mechanic to support operations in dynamic industrial environments such as warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing facilities. This role is essential to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of automated systems that move, store, and manage materials. The AMHE Mechanic will contribute to the seamless operation of mission-critical logistics and production systems, supporting KBR's commitment to operational excellence and innovation.

Job Summary

The AMHE Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of automated equipment including conveyors, robotic systems, and automated guided vehicles (AGVs). This position requires a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have experience with preventive maintenance, system diagnostics, and compliance with safety standards in an industrial setting.

We are seeking flexible, project-ready professionals to join our talent pool for on-call assignments. Selected candidates will be engaged on a project-by-project basis. This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to stay connected, contribute as needed, and be considered for contract or long-term roles as client needs arise. Assignment times may vary from a few days to several weeks.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Perform preventive maintenance on automated systems such as conveyors, AS/RS, sortation systems, robotic arms, and AGVs

* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues

* Replace worn parts, lubricate components, and ensure optimal system performance

* Monitor system operations to detect irregularities or breakdowns

* Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve faults

* Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment or upgrades

* Calibrate systems to meet manufacturer specifications

* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards

* Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and part replacements

* Participate in safety audits and respond to system-related hazards

* Collaborate with engineers, operations staff, and IT teams

* Provide feedback on equipment reliability and recommend improvements

Basic Qualifications

* HS Diploma or equivalent

* 4+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance

* Familiarity with automated systems and industrial machinery

* Ability to read technical manuals and schematics

* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

* Basic understanding of PLCs, sensors, and actuators

* Willingness to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment

Preferred Qualifications

* Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field

* Experience with robotic palletizers, carousels, and pick-and-place robots

* Knowledge of automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS)

* Hands-on experience with AGVs and robotic systems

* Proficiency in using diagnostic software and tools

* OSHA safety training or equivalent certification
