Overview

BJC Home Care offers patients and their families a complete range of home care services, including skilled nursing services, adult and pediatric hospice and supportive care, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, infusion treatment rooms, home medical equipment and high-tech respiratory care. Evelyn’s House is the newest addition to BJC Hospice and BJCs continuum of care for patients with life-limiting illness. Evelyn’s House staff are sensitive to the physical, psychosocial, emotional and spiritual needs of terminally ill adult and pediatric patients and their families. We provide a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals and volunteers, specially trained in pain and symptom management, counseling, and bereavement services for the dying. BJC Hospice services include alternative therapies such as music, art and massage therapy. BJC Hospice programs provide palliative care by helping patients manage their pain and symptoms while living their lives with daily peace and dignity.

Role Purpose

Evaluates the client and furnishes services requiring substantial and specialized skill, appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures, and instructions to assist the client in learning appropriate self-care techniques. When assigned as case manager, the staff nurse is responsible for coordinating all aspects of care related to that patient.

Responsibilities

- Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including their values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs.
- Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
- Promotes respect, equity and empathy in interactions with diverse and vulnerable populations through care delivery (e.g. support for emotional, spiritual, and cultural preferences of patient, family and/or caregivers). Practices collaborative problem solving, service recovery and advocacy for patient family centered continuity of care. Implements care by integrating data from the interprofessional team and critical thinking in a safe and timely manner.
- Evaluates changes in patient's condition, informs and collaborates with family and/or caregivers, and communicates with interprofessional team as changes occur in plan of care, updates plan of care in EMR. Evaluates current nursing care to ensure evidence-based practice and quality patient outcomes.

The Front of House & Events Manager oversees daily dining operations while coordinating member events, private functions, and celebrations, including weddings and social gatherings.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and support a small front-of-house team of servers and bartenders
  • Ensure exceptional service and a welcoming member experience
  • Oversee daily dining room operations and service standards
  • Coordinate and execute member events, weddings, and private functions

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of hospitality management or supervisory experience
  • Experience in restaurants, private clubs, hotels, or event venues
  • Banquet or catering experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Passion for hospitality and member service

Our Austin HQ reflects our commitment to wellness, featuring a sauna, cold plunge, open workspaces, and a collaborative environment. It's not fancy. The space is very raw and industrial, but there's a unique vibe to it.


We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and resourceful Office & House Manager to oversee the operations of both our office (2,000 sq. ft.) and personal residence. This is a hands-on role.


Responsibilities Office Management


Office Operations & Facility Management

  •  Oversee and maintain the office space, common areas, and workstations to ensure a clean and functional environment. I.e. clean dishes, take out the trash, vacuum, order snacks, coordinate lunch, etc.

  •  Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance, office improvements, and small repairs.

  •  Manage inventory of office supplies, beverages, and wellness products to keep the space stocked.

  •  Coordinate with cleaner who comes weekly.

  •  Take photos of mail and send to the appropriate team member



Procurement & Expense Management

  •  Order office supplies, wellness products, and miscellaneous items via Amazon, online vendors, and local stores.

  •  Track and submit receipts and invoices to the finance team.

  •  Maintain a monthly expense log for office-related purchases.


IT & Tech Support

  •  Serve as the first point of contact for IT issues at both the office and personal residence.

  •  Fix issues related to WiFi, projector, printers, software, and office devices.

  • Setup new team members emails and slack accounts.


House Management (Personal Residence)


Errands & Shopping Coordination

  •  Manage grocery shopping, household supplies, and meal prep coordination.

  •  Ensure the kitchen is stocked with healthy, functional foods that align with lifestyle preferences.

  •  Run personal errands, such as picking up/dropping off items and coordinating deliveries.


Household Maintenance & Project Oversight

  •  Schedule and oversee home repairs, maintenance, and small improvement projects.

  •  Work with service providers for plumbing, cleaning, and general upkeep.

  •  Wash and manage company and personal car


Travel Preparation & Home Organization

  •  Prepare the home before travel (cleaning, organizing, stocking essentials).

  •  Unpack suitcases and reset the home after travel.

  •  Ensure the house remains a low-stress, functional environment while managing frequent travel schedules.

Requirements

Prior experience in office management, personal assisting, or operations preferred.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot IT, facilities, and logistics issues.

Ability to order, track, and manage purchases and expenses.

Comfortable lifting, stocking, and organizing office/home supplies.

Valid driver’s license and ability to run errands as needed.

Must be Austin-based and available for in-person responsibilities.
