A well-regarded New York civil defense firm is expanding its litigation team and is seeking a Litigation Attorney to support a growing caseload of general liability and civil defense matters.

This opportunity is suited to an attorney with solid defense litigation experience who is looking to further develop courtroom exposure and gain more direct involvement in trial preparation and execution.

Core responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day litigation responsibilities, including depositions, discovery, and motion practice

• Appear in court and handle conferences and related proceedings

• Assist with trial preparation, including case strategy, witness preparation, and exhibits

• Work closely with senior attorneys on active matters

• Communicate with clients and contribute to overall case management

Qualifications

• Admitted in New York

• Civil defense litigation experience required

• Approximately 2–6 years of experience, with flexibility depending on background

• Prior trial exposure is helpful, though not required

• Comfortable handling cases and appearing in court

• Strong organizational skills and a collaborative approach
