The Division of General Gynecology & Obstetrics is seeking experienced physicians committed patient care and an academic career in general obstetrics and gynecology. The position will hold the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include direct inpatient and outpatient obstetrics and gynecologic care, gynecologic surgery, teaching learners, and participation in the Obstetric Rapid Response Team. Candidates should be comfortable in providing a broad spectrum of obstetrical and gynecologic care for low risk and complex patients. The faculty member is expected to find a focus within the University areas of teaching, research, and clinical service appropriate to their professional training and capabilities and their career goals.
Primary clinical responsibilities would be participation in all the clinical activities of the Division of General Gynecology & Obstetrics at Emory, particularly its clinical activities at The Emory Clinic, Emory University Hospitals, and affiliated sites. The faculty member would be expected to deliver excellent care to patients while growing and expanding access for routine obstetrical and gynecologic patients in the Emory clinical practices. The faculty member would be expected to participate in in-house labor and delivery call coverage and function as a member of the Obstetrical Rapid Response Team with the members of the General Gynecology & Obstetrics Division. Faculty members are expected to supervise mid-level providers assigned to the clinical practice location.
Faculty Members would be expected to demonstrate outstanding activity in the teaching aspects of the Department. Specifically, this would include:
- Providing teaching instruction and supervision to residents, medical and advanced practice provider students in Gynecology and Obstetrics.
- Consider providing lectures to fellows, residents and medical students to pass on expertise as requested.
- Attending Grand Rounds, M&M Conferences, Division meetings and other Departmental activities to maintain involvement in our work community.
- Participating in mentorship of colleagues and learners.

Practice Details:

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Board Eligible/ Board Certified Gastroenterologist to meet the growing demand for gastroenterology in Michigan City, IN. Join a busy, established practice with 5 experienced physicians and multiple advanced practice providers.
Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and build long-lasting relationships with patients. Physician will need to work collaboratively with existing medical staff to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.
Office Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – Physician Schedule: 3 - 4 half days in clinic, 3 - 4 half days in surgery, 1 full day off
Physician Call 1:5 – Physician takes 1 full week call (Friday 8:00 a.m. – no clinic during call week only hospital procedures and front-line call coverage
Call Friday to Thursday, Rotating Holidays
Half Day Clinic 12 – 15, Half Day Surgery 8 – 10
Practice shares 3 RN’s, dedicated MA support for every physician, 2 surgery schedulers in-house
Outreach Required: Clinics in LaPorte, Chesterton, Valparaiso (all within 30 minutes commute)

Shared collaboration between physician for APP’s in group
Hospital based Nurse Practitioner sees new consults and rounding ahead of physicians
Clinic based Nurse Practitioner
Strong mentorship available from senior physician leadership
On average 75 -100 per week for general GI
In-Network Oncology Services offering full spectrum, wrap around services
