Summary: As a Business Analyst, you have experience managing and understanding 3rd party retail platforms (Walmart, etc.) and their respective portals. This role is responsible for retailer portal integrations/onboarding, product listing creation, management, and, in-season analysis, insights and execution, as well as ensuring that we maintain competitive pricing on the marketplaces while maintaining margin requirements.


To achieve success in this role, the individual must be a strong collaborator with the ability to build cross-functional partnerships across merchandising, product management, technology, supply chain, wholesale team, and the direct to consumer team.


Success will be measured in terms of impact on dropship sales, margin, productivity, and inventory health.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Optimize and grow the dropship program efficiently (product, demand, profitability).
  • Data analysis to provide visibility and insight to make strategic decisions.
  • Guide the development of insights & in-season Dropship strategy
  • Help establish best practices for in-season dropship management to include data definition, insights, activities and ad hoc analyses
  • Maintain price competitiveness & margin across products and platforms
  • Shop competitors to identify trends, product opportunities, and understand market pricing
  • Lead through preparation for product launches and partner implementations partnering with product and price team peers to identify needs and develop requirements to ensure business continuity.

Qualifications:

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in dropship, e-commerce marketplace management, or digital retail operations.
  • Hands-on experience managing retailer marketplace portals, including required experience with the Walmart Supplier Center / Walmart Marketplace portal.
  • Experience managing product listings, pricing updates, promotions, and inventory across retailer platforms.
  • Proven experience supporting dropship or marketplace programs with large retail partners.
  • Experience analyzing sales performance, pricing trends, and inventory data to drive business decisions.



Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience working with large data sets.

This role will engage with customers’ technical teams to adequately understand the customer need and ensure we cost estimate effectively, with the overarching goal of enabling Spectrum to best serve existing and new accounts through competitive and accurate pricing.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical liaison to customers, providing confidence in engineering expertise and guiding them through technical discussions of clarity and feasibility of proposed opportunities.
  • Engage with customers to understand and provide relevant feedback (e.g., opportunities to drive down cost without impacting efficacy) on technical details of their quote requests and design elements.
  • Oversee project cost estimation for incoming opportunities within aligned product group, including developing cost and engineering process assumptions and designing/executing methodologies for accurate quoting.
  • Leverage pricing tools to provide commercial team members with pricing guidance.
  • Work closely with internal engineering, product, and sales teams to ensure they have all the inputs necessary to develop an accurate cost estimate and pricing guidance.
  • Engage relevant Spectrum personnel to determine relevant factors such as tool availability, production capacity, and capability limits.
  • Engage with third-party vendors to get cost estimates of key materials / products that they will need to produce the finished product.
  • Identify and communicate impactful opportunities to simplify costing processes and improve overall customer response time efficiency.
  • Provide margin guidance, as a technical and customer-facing voice contributing to overall company pricing strategies.


Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree or related field preferred. Appropriate experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in technical cost estimation, value engineering, or product design within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience with a CDMO strongly preferred.
  • Candidate must have experience with technical design, technical process, and customer engagement in technical sales or engineering roles.
  • Candidate must have knowledge and demonstrate understanding of manufacturing processes, material selection, and production cost drivers, with familiarity with design specifications.
  • Candidate preferred to have strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Candidate preferred to have knowledge and demonstrate understanding of some economic, accounting, and financial principles
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to engage with non-engineering stakeholders via simplifying complex technical concepts.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sales, supply chain, and product marketing teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple RFQs, technical discussions, and costing exercises effectively.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provide technical information that cannot be found on the nameplate or in the installation guide.
  • Guide technicians through electrical schematics and the wiring of any HPS part number.
  • Provide troubleshooting for scenarios where the customer is having issues in the field – wrong voltage, no voltage, etc.
  • Support Customer Service on filing FPRs, RMAs, and CARs.
  • Collaboration with other Sales Functions.


Customer Service Support


  • Provide complete order packets for custom products and projects.
  • Provide support and training on catalog parts, custom products, and interpreting customer specifications.
  • Offer technical support to customers as needed.
  • Act as liaison between Customer Service and customers as needed.


Marketing Support


  • Work together to establish market pricing and institute price
  • increases.
  • Provide market feedback on HPS competitors, pricing, lead time, products, etc.
  • Assistance with customer training on new product launches.
  • Provide feedback and support on system upgrades.
  • Provide support and communication on all PODs and CODs.


National Sales Support


  • Assist with the creation, implementation, and support of all sales plans.
  • Identify and escalate any customer activities that may affect overall sales objectives.
