Faculty appointment The Department of Psychiatry consists of a 33 bed inpatient unit, consultation liaison service, PHP/IOP clinic and ECT service.
The Behavioral Health Center offers inpatient treatment for adults 18 and old who are experiencing acute illnesses that require 24-hour medical care.
They are a certified Baker Act Receiving Facility that also accepts voluntary and direct admissions.
The incoming physician would focus on inpatients consults, and IOP.
A resident is in house 24/7 for consults, admissions and emergencies.
Call responsibilities are 1:5.
Supervise on average 3-4 residents.
Participate in structured didactics.

The Opportunity
- Graduates from our Emergency Psychiatry Fellowship will become pioneers in a unique and emerging specialty that will transform how Emergency Departments treat psychiatric patients.
- The successful fellow will receive training by nationally recognized experts in the field of Emergency Psychiatry.
- Training will focus on the assessment, management, and disposition of emergency psychiatric patients through hands-on experience in both the medical ED and various acute psychiatric settings.

- EM Residency Program began as an AOA program in 2004 and received ACGME initial accreditation in September 2017. Continued accreditation was granted January 2020.

Join a 60 year old Community Group looking for Outpatient Psychiatrists to join them; Child and General. Behavioral Health Group touches the lives of more than 10,000 people a year. With a staff of 900 they assist families, children and individuals in 4 clinics, 38 residences and 74 programs.
Flexible schedules, no call, full-time, and part-time positions are available along with the ability to spread time over multiple services in three clinics in downtown Boston and metro Boston.
Outpatient
Teaching and Harvard Medical School faculty appointment is available for interested applicants.
Responsibilities include outpatient psychiatric evaluation, treatment planning and integrated psychiatric treatment and medication management services.
Additional duties include a leadership role at multidisciplinary staff meetings and may include consultation to the Substance Abuse Team and supervision of a PGYIII Residents on Community Rotation.

Ensuring proper medication management for ambulatory patients.2.
Provide supervision to providers (MDs and NPs) in the designated areas.3.
Member of the Behavioral Health Leadership Team including Vice President of Behavioral Health, Chief Psychiatry, Medical Director of Inpatient Psychiatry, Director of Nursing, Director of Operations, and Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health services.4.
Lead monthly outpatient prescribers meetings.

Along with Vice President, Medical Director of Outpatient will be involved in the integration and development of ambulatory services across the system, working closely with other hospital Medical Directors and department directors.6.
Consultation to community medical providers, assessment of complex cases, and ongoing treatment of identified patients.7.
Caseload and productivity review, established and as-needed supervision, and hiring of new providers8.
Development of prescribing methodology in the various programs.9.
Continuous improvement and review of protocols for treatment options for all of the Outpatient (Mental Health and Addiction) departments.10.
