GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Offset plate / Gravure Cylinder Manufacturer is responsible for bending Web Offset printing plates for all presses in a specific location, helping with daily and weekly processor maintenance. Processing gravure cylinders, General maintenance and cleanup of the production areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES BUT NOT LIMITED TO
Load and unload platemaking materials to and from equipment to bend all size plates for press
Maintain platemaking equipment ( Including but not limited to daily and weekly processor maintenance, loading or trouble shooting errors.
Check plates / Cylinders for Quality
Track or move job components through production using Smart tools
Cylinder stripping, electro-plating, engraving
Load & unload, store and retrieve gravure cylinders using automated Work in Progress (W.I.P.) & Long Term Storage (LTS) systems and overhead cranes following appropriate work instructions
Misc production duties, including cleaning and inspecting cylinders
General cleanup of the area ( 6’s )

Basic Mechanical skills

The actual rate of pay offered will vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. Individuals must be proficient in the repair of a wide variety of equipment and ability to work flexible rotating shifts, including AM and PM shifts (7 am-7 pm and 7 pm-7 am), with some overtime required.
Required Qualifications:
Preferred education in Electronics or related fields, or a minimum of 5 years of electrical/electronic repair experience in a manufacturing environment, is preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
Demonstrate proficiency utilizing a personal computer, and order parts and materials by using appropriate company purchasing requirements, including computerized maintenance management systems.
Ability to work closely with engineers, technicians, and peers to maintain electronic/electrical systems on new and specialized equipment with knowledge of the National Electrical Code and execute the most cost-effective method to fulfill customer and code requirements.

Quad in Winchester, VA is seeking candidates with mechanical experience to become Press Rolltenders. A Rolltender's primary responsibility is to consistently load rolls of paper onto a printing press. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Understanding standard operating procedures of the department
Coordinate plates and tickets for upcoming jobs and hang paper according to job tickets.
Inspect rolls of paper for blemishes or tears and cuts away any damage.
Set up and make splices, bend and hang plates as well as hang blankets and assist with webbing up press.
Ensure correct ink is available for job and check ink fountains regularly.
Set fold during make-readies and check trim sheets to proof and complete necessary roll reports and paperwork accurately.
Communicate effectively with plate room and paper warehouse and coordinate changing of ink, etch, and silicone totes as needed.
Wash up the press and assist with preventative maintenance.
Qualifications
Candidates with previous jogger/entry level experience a plus
Strong mechanical abilities and previous knowledge of presses and roll stands are a plus.
Ability to perform basic math calculations are essential.
Good verbal and written comprehension skills are a must.
Must be able to thrive in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
This position also requires the ability to bend and lift 10-20 pounds continuously, ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally, stand long hours, use hands and wrists continuously and use vision in order to identify defects, performing repetitious tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere with or without a reasonable accommodation.

The Electrical Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Electrical department, ensuring that company assets are

Key Responsibilities
· Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret financial reports relative to their area of oversight.
· Establish metrics and set goals for the team using World Class Maintenance standards. Work closely with Planner, Storeroom

· Collaborate with other departments in Manufacturing Support to create seamless completion of projects and repairs.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OSHA-mandated programs and ensure the team’s compliance with necessary training.

· Consistently advocate and advance safety objectives, goals, and policies.
· Create an environment of Continuous Improvement, including participating in Mini War Rooms, developing Point Kaizens, and
driving 6S initiatives.
· Manage and support environmental initiatives around hazardous waste.
· Participate in energy management programs.
· Promote retention and recognition programs.
· Actively communicate with the team and keep them informed on department initiatives.
· Provide guidance and direction to employees and leaders within the department.
