The Consumer Sales Representative-Retail is a key contributor in TDS’s overall consumer strategy to grow, delight and retain our customers. Our motto is to grow revenue and achieve sales goals by providing exceptional customer service. The Consumer Sales Representative-Retail handles customers that walk-in to our Retail stores as well as handles inbound customer calls when no customers are in the office.

 

This position is the primary point of contact for consumer customers inquiring about products and services. This position takes ownership of thoroughly understanding the features and benefits of all the consumer products and services we offer. The Consumer Sales Representative-Retail also keeps current on all pricing, procedures, promotions, tools, and systems used to place orders, update billing and maintain record of customer contacts.

 

In addition to base pay and an excellent benefits package, the Consumer Sales Representative-Retail is assigned monthly sales goals established for key strategic products such as Voice, High Speed Data, TV, Mobile, and Strategic product sales. The Consumer Sales Representative-Retail must meet these goals and maintain customer service quality expectations for additional commission incentive programs.

 



Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Sales & Retention Results through Providing Exceptional Customer Service: Exceed or Meet Monthly Sales Goals of Strategic Products such as but not limited to, Voice, High Speed Data, TV , Mobile, and Internet Content Product Offerings through face to face and over the phone interactions. Exceeds retention goals, by using save techniques that involve negotiation & interpersonal communication skills to prevent customer churn. Works to ask lifestyle questions and promote services to fulfill customer needs. Is also responsible for reselling customers on the benefits of having TDS service, subsequently protecting existing revenue.
  • Moves/Adds/Changes/Disconnect Inquiries: Delight and retain existing customer base by consistently providing exceptional customer service on all billing inquiries, seasonal service requests, toll inquiries, and other miscellaneous inquiries. The Consumer Sales Representative-Retail will consult with customers on these service calls to identify customer technology needs and offer TDS product solutions they may not currently have and/or we can offer at a better value.
  • Cash Management Procedures – Consumer Retail must closely follow cash management procedures to assure accuracy in all cash and payment handling from customer to deposit.
  • Resolves construction related issues in specific markets by creating and completing Triage tickets.
  • Keeps current with Promotions, Products and Technology necessary to Exceeding or Meeting Sales and Retention Goals. Regular attendance and promptness for work are essential functions of this position because absenteeism and tardiness significantly impact the ability of the Company and coworkers to meet our customers' needs
  • Handles retail office responsibilities such as restocking supplies, unlocking and locking office, maintaining office cleanliness, participating in community events, and working with other departments to coordinate use of space.
  • Special Projects as assigned by Supervisor


Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years’ experience in a sales or customer service role
  • 2+ years computer experience (may include order applications, Microsoft Outlook, Word, or Excel).
  • Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines in order to meet TDS’s business needs including but not limited to our obligations to our customers and to our customers’ needs.

 

Other Qualifications

  • 6+ months experience in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks 6+ months experience working with detailed data
  • Ability to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation, selling and closing skills in reselling the service to customers who are requesting to disconnect their service.
  •  Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls in a structured, contact center environment
  • Understanding of the telecommunication industry

As the Outside Plant Construction Technician III in Saint George, UT, you will assist the Senior Outside Plant Construction Tech in overseeing construction and maintenance of PON/fiber network communications facilities in TDS Telecom serving areas. This role assists with project management and coordination of internal and external resources. It also ensures the team operates according to safety protocols.

 

Training:

As an Outside Plant Construction Technician III, you will have the opportunity to obtain a Class A CDL through our in-house training program. You will attend safety training at one of our new facilities where you will also be trained on Pole Climbing and Bucket Trucks. On-the-job training includes exposure to various construction equipment including Directional Drill Rigs, Mini Excavators, Trenchers, and Locators. Fiber optic training includes Fusion Splicing, Fault Detection, and exposure to OTDRs and other advanced testing equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership Assistance: At the direction of the Sr Outside Plant Construction Tech, assist with:
    • Communicating job duties and responsibilities to internal construction crews.
    • Focusing on crew efficiencies, ensuring assigned tasks are completed.
    • Training, monitoring, and coaching team members to safely perform assigned tasks with related construction equipment.

    • Performs landscape restoration after project completion.
  • Construction Site Organization
    • Engage municipalities, utility companies, suppliers, contractors, and property owners to coordinate project tasks and avoid disputes.
    • Receive maps and staking sheets and ensure construction project is built.
    • Review, update, and assist with the recording of GIS, maps, addresses, and as-builds.
    • Ensure locates are performed on time and prior to team and equipment arriving at the worksite.
    • Set pedestals, vaults, and handholes along with marking/labeling fiber optic and/or copper facilities.
    • Coordinate with Sr Outside Plant Construction Tech to ensure availability of materials and equipment.
    • Perform the placement of new aerial and buried fiber according to maps, staking sheets, and locate markings.
  • Construction Equipment Maintenance

    • Service, clean, maintain, and repair equipment.
    • Check DOT logs and review condition of trucks and trailers on job site to ensure all vehicles meet DOT standards.
    • Report any issues to Sr Outside Plant Construction Tech.
  • Complete all related paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Assist Field Services technicians, as needed.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of construction equipment operation utilizing various underground and aerial construction equipment such as directional drills, trencher/plow/rocksaw, backhoe, or bucket trucks -OR- current military service, or prior military service with honorable discharge.
  • Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines in order to meet TDS’s business needs including but not limited to our obligations to our customers and to our customers’ needs.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and remain eligible for DOT requirements.

Other Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to obtain a Class A CDL. A current CDL is preferred at hire, but TDS will train and certify eligible associates through its in-house CDL certification program after hire.
  • Physical requirements may vary based on company needs: Ability to climb poles, ladders, towers, and other structures as needed. Ability to kneel, dig, lift, and pull.
  • Upon hire, must successfully pass all components of the Safety Training course curriculum.
  • Upon hire, must successfully complete customer-specific requirements, which may include a background check administered by the customer.
  • Prefer 3+ months’ experience with utility location.
  • Prefer 2+ years’ experience in the construction of fiber optic cable outside plant networks -OR- 2+ years installation of any underground or overhead utilities will be considered.
  • Understanding of telecommunication products and services.
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • May require occasional travel.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed. May be required to work various/swing shifts as business needs dictate.
  • Must be able to operate vehicles with manual transmissions.

This is a Remote-Field position in which you will work from home and utilize a mobile office/vehicle for in-person appointments. Although the primary work location is in the field, with a commutable distance from home, there will be opportunities for virtual work to be completed at home. Operational Leadership

  • Supervise inbound shipping/receiving, including unloading, inspection, labeling, and put-away of goods.

Role Overview

As a Website Tester, you will:

  • Participate in user experience testing on various online casino platforms.

Requirements
