The Role

As a Founding Engineer at Straia, you'll work directly with a small team including directly with our CEO (Ryan), CTO (Alan) and CPO (Nikki) to design, build, and scale the core infrastructure of our platform.

This is a 0 → 1 opportunity to shape not just the product, but the engineering culture, architecture, and trajectory of the company. You'll ship fast, make key technical decisions, and help define how AI can power the next generation of enterprise data intelligence.

What You'll Do

  • Build the core platform — architect and implement services spanning data ingestion, query orchestration, and agentic AI workflows
  • Ship end-to-end features across our React + Node.js + Postgres stack, integrating directly with LLMs like GPT, Gemini, and Claude
  • Scale infrastructure on GCP for performance, reliability, and data security
  • Collaborate with users (university data teams and administrators) to translate real problems into elegant, powerful solutions
  • Lay the foundation for Straia's engineering culture, best practices, and technical roadmap

Capacity Management and Operations is a new team supporting multiple internal Client organizations. We manage their Capacity Management process, improving it where necessary, and provide operational support for the work pipeline. Our engineers help resolve capacity regression cases which save the Client millions in data center running costs per year. We also enable the most cutting edge work by aligning the demand and supply for critical infrastructure.

  • Compensation: $75,000 base + with uncapped commission, averaging $80,000-$150,00. At quota, our top earners are at almost $200K OTE.

The Role


We are seeking an Enterprise Hunter not a "Farmer." You are a high-octane sales professional with a track record of crushing quotas in the deep-tech software space. You don’t just manage a territory; you dominate it.

You will be responsible for navigating complex, technical sales cycles and building strategic partnerships with the most innovative companies in the world. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on the hunt and wants to shape the GTM strategy of a category-defining company.


What You’ll Do

  • Drive New Business: Execute a ruthless territory plan to acquire "new logo" enterprise accounts across Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and AI.
  • Navigate Technical Cycles: Lead complex, POC-driven sales motions, moving seamlessly between developer-level technical deep dives and executive-level value propositions.
