The Opportunity
We are seeking a Director of Operations to serve as the in-house technical authority on the UPS, power distribution, and emergency power systems that underpin 100% uptime. This role is purpose-built for an experienced critical power professional who has spent a career on the OEM and field service side of the business—commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining the very systems that keep mission-critical facilities running—and is ready to bring that depth of knowledge to an owner-operator environment.
You will be the go-to expert for all critical power infrastructure across our client’s Houston campus, working directly with a tenured operations team during a period of significant expansion. Your deep familiarity with UPS platforms, switchgear, transfer switches, and battery systems—combined with established OEM and vendor relationships—will be a force multiplier for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical resource for all UPS systems, including preventive maintenance, firmware management, diagnostics, module-level repair, and full system commissioning.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain critical electrical infrastructure including switchgear, automatic transfer switches (ATS), static transfer switches (STS), PDUs, RPPs, generators, and battery plants.
- Leverage deep OEM relationships and product knowledge (Schneider/APC, Eaton/MGE, Toshiba/Mitsubishi, Vertiv/Liebert, or similar) to optimize maintenance programs, warranty coverage, and parts sourcing.
- Perform root cause analysis on critical power system failures and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence and protect uptime commitments.
- Execute complex switching operations, load transfers, and system isolations following strict Method of Procedure (MOP) protocols and change management processes.
- Monitor and interpret data from Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) to identify trends, anomalies, and capacity risks.
- Support commissioning and acceptance testing of new critical power infrastructure associated with our client’s ongoing 24MW expansion, including factory witness testing and site acceptance.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships for equipment servicing, warranty claims, emergency callouts, and capital improvement projects.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records, as-built documentation, battery test logs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all critical power systems.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and serve as a first responder for power-related facility alarms and emergency events.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, OSHA, NEC, and all applicable codes and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive experience in critical power systems, with a strong emphasis on UPS field service, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Extensive hands-on experience with UPS platforms from major OEMs such as Schneider Electric/APC, MGE, Eaton, Toshiba/Mitsubishi, Vertiv/Liebert, or equivalent manufacturers.
- Deep working knowledge of power distribution systems including switchgear, transformers, PDUs, RPPs, bus duct, and battery systems (VRLA, lithium-ion).
- Demonstrated experience with automatic transfer switches (ATS) and static transfer switches (STS), including testing, maintenance, and failure response.
- Proven ability to read, interpret, and redline single-line diagrams, schematics, and electrical drawings.
- Proficiency in switching operations, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and energized work procedures in compliance with NFPA 70E.
- Strong vendor and OEM relationship management skills with established networks in the critical power ecosystem.
- Excellent documentation habits and experience working within formal change management and MOP frameworks.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
- Background spanning multiple critical power OEMs and/or manufacturer’s representative organizations, providing broad product knowledge across competing platforms.
- Prior experience in a data center, colocation, or mission-critical facility environment (owner-operator, hyperscale, or enterprise).
- Experience in field operations leadership, including scheduling, dispatching, and managing service delivery teams.
- Familiarity with generator paralleling systems, medium-voltage distribution, and utility interconnection.
- Relevant certifications such as Journeyman or Master Electrician license, NFPA 70E certification, OEM factory training certifications, or BICSI credentials.

Job Description
The Internship program is designed to teach participants how to organize, and be a part of the coaching staff – from operational tasks to hands-on coaching. Our primary goal is exposure to a performance process through a structured theoretical and practical based education approach accredited by our academic partner Auckland University Technology

Breakdown of Role

Qualification and Experience:
Currently enrolled in an exercise science, sports science, kinesiology or health-related degree.
Bachelor's degree in exercise science, sports science, kinesiology or health-related field.
Volunteer coaching experience in any field.
Basic IT skills to use various administrative applications (i.e. Microsoft Office).

ATH Internship Curriculum Overview
Athlete Training and Health offers two forms of internship opportunities ATH Volunteer (ATH-V) Internship and ATH
Certified (ATH-C) Internship. Both are 12-week curriculums designed to provide hands-on practical coaching experience, supported by three educational monthly modules. Each consists of four weekly sub-sections focusing on both theoretical and practical application led by a coach within the training center. Each applicant will have the opportunity to choose what internship they wish to pursue:
Participants of the ATH-V internship are required to work 20-30 scheduled hours per week and can voluntarily avail of all educational modules and topics. Upon completion of the ATH-V internship, applicants can apply to complete the ATH-C internship in an unpaid capacity.
Participants of the ATH-C internship will be required to work a scheduled 30-40 hours per week with mandatory attendance required during module overviews, weekly topics and will be continually assessed on a competency-based model. Upon completion of the ATH-C internship successful applicants may apply to ATH partner University, Auckland University of Technology to avail of Postgraduate Masters Credit. Upon successful completion of the ATH-C internship applicants may be considered for available part time on or off site assistant performance coach positions or upcoming full time ATH-C Mentorship performance coach positions.
Module I - The Art of Coaching
The first module of the internship will increase the interns hands-on coaching experience. All interns will be exposed to different coaching environments and should effectively be able to assist performance coaches in every offering of the
Student and Forever ATHlete programs by the end of module 1. The learning emphasis will focus on upskilling coaches both practically and theoretically on warm ups, cool downs, progressions and regressions for plyometric, speed and strength exercises.
Module II - Enhancing Athletic Capabilities
The second module of the internship will increase the interns’ ability to assess, interpret and prescribe exercise in line with the ATH training philosophy for all aspects of the Student and Forever ATHlete program as it pertains to warm up, speed agility and quickness (SAQ) and strength related activities. As interns show increased proficiency in both their understanding of the curriculum and implementation in their coaching, they will have increased opportunities to lead more of the training sessions.
Module III - Developing a Professional Coaching Brand
The third module of the internship focuses on building the interns professional portfolio. Specific professional activities such as reviewing each intern’s resume and cover letters, facilitating off-site visits and guest speakers will help to
promote networking and industry exposure. The internship will conclude with a final reflective presentation on a topic of their choice approved by a senior coach to aid the intern's presentation and communication skills.

Perform broad support engineering functions for engineering group in assistance to project and product related taskings from Engineering Management for the thermal product line. Enable successful task completion to produce technical value from the company.
Applies knowledge and understanding of process, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering to form documents, calculations, and drawings. Manages projects on multiple technologies, and contracts as required. Aids in procurement, document control and other technical administration functions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Aids in growth of company with a focus on wastewater business line technical services, ranging from Biosolids treatment to conveyance and disposal management.

The Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) manager is a fast-paced position overseeing the planning and coordination of a variety of projects. The VDC Manager will lead all aspects of Harvey Cleary’s VDC construction initiatives across the company, ensuring projects are taken from the design phase and digitally modeled to solve coordination issues before the start of field installation.
This role will function as a subject matter expert for VDC processes and technology innovation platforms, ensuring that building Information modeling (BIM) coordination is utilized throughout the Harvey Cleary organization. The VDC Manager will report to the Director of Technology while supporting various operations teams in the successful VDC delivery of projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the Director of Technology, recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in the VDC department.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations of VDC team members.

- Manage deployment of VDC initiatives and VDC technology platforms.

- Participate in weekly team meetings to review the BIM coordination process, as needed, in collaboration with project teams.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure the VDC team is producing construction documents that are efficient, accurate, and appropriate for the team’s use in their coordination efforts.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent training/experience.
- 5+ years AEC industry experience in VDC role, preferably in the construction industry.
