Job Description

The RN - CV assists the Interventional Cardiologist and CV Specialist in providing care for patients undergoing diagnostic cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiac catheterization, pacemaker and automatic internal cardiac defibrillator implants, peripheral vascular interventions, structural heart disease interventions, special procedures, and other procedures involving the cardiac and vascular systems. Incumbents in this position assist physicians by implementing and performing a cardiac catheterization plan of care using standards of A.O.R.N. aseptic technique, cardiac and peripheral anatomy and physiology, radiographic imaging technique, standards of nursing care, and principles of cardiovascular technology. Position requires multi-campus work and multi-campus call.

Shift: Full Time Days

Position is designated for Saint Luke's Hospital and Saint Luke's North Hospital and requires a 30 minute, or less, callback response. Position is required to work at all four campuses (Saint Luke's East, Saint Luke's Plaza, Saint Luke's North and Saint Luke's South Hospitals) when required to meet staffing needs.

The Plastic Surgery Division at Children?s Mercy Kansas City is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to work in our ambulatory specialty clinic as well as with the plastic surgeons in the OR for select cases. - West Position Summary / Career Interest: The MRI technologist is responsible for producing quality MR images while providing optimal patient care and applying all principles of patient safety.

MRI technologists are expected to participate in on-going training and education relating to positioning, technique and MRI safety guidelines.

MR procedures are performed at multiple locations across the health system; this person shall maintain a patient-centered focus and strive to support the mission, goals and values of University of Kansas Health System and radiology department.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions Demonstrate understanding of: human anatomy and physiology; pathology; pharmacology; medical terminology; MR technique; patient positioning for MR Prepare patients for procedures and take care of patient needs during examinations or procedures Perform venipuncture, manage intravenous access, and administer medications as prescribed Select appropriate pulse sequences with consideration of established protocols and other factors that influence data acquisition parameters Evaluate medical images for quality and to ensure patient identification Responsible for adherence to ACR MR safety guidelines such as restricting area access, screening patients and others for MR access, and observing and controlling the MR areas Possess MR safety knowledge and research implanted devices
