Qualifications for the Job

Experience / Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field with a minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a food manufacturing setting, ideally with experience in frozen or chilled ready meals
  • Proven experience in a food science or food technologist role
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies and project management is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP System integration, Datassentials, TraceGains, , and Genesis software is a plus.
  • HACCP, ServSafe, or other GMP knowledge required.

Summary: The Substance Use & Family Support Specialist will serve as the substance abuse specialist for the Clinical Supports Program.

Provides consultation and engagement support to CPS Teams working with families impacted by substance use disorders.

Assists with assessment, harm reduction, treatment linkage, and safety planning to support child and family well-being.

This position will work directly with CPS staff to provide trauma-informed consultation, crisis intervention, and guidance to ensure families receive timely access to appropriate services.

The Substance Use & Family Support Specialist will act as the primary liaison between CPS teams, community providers, and partner agencies to streamline referrals, improve coordination of care, and ensure consistent responses for families.

This position requires flexibility, as some cases may require after-hours or weekend response depending on client needs or emergency situations.

Responsibilities: · Integrate a trauma-informed, client-centered, and culturally responsive approach into all clinical collaborative activities.

· Serve as the designated substance abuse liaison between CPS, community partners, and external providers.

· Conduct brief assessments and provide crisis intervention and psychoeducation to families.

• Demonstrated experience in crisis response and multidisciplinary collaboration • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred: • Experience working with substance use and similar interdisciplinary setting.
