The West Division of Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Chemist Technical Director. This position will focus primarily on Clinical Toxicology and Mass spectrometry in the Portland and Spokane Laboratories. The PhD level position will be responsible for providing direction and to serve as the technical advisor and clinical consultant for clinical toxicology, mass spectrometry and clinical chemistry for the laboratories.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews and reports patient results accurately, and with integrity
• Accurately and promptly responds to client inquiries that are technical in nature

• Keeps up with scientific advances and other literature, offering perspectives about improvements, such as how a report reads
• An interest in providing staff educational seminars, participation in national clinical societies and publishing peer-reviewed manuscripts is encouraged
• Sets the tone in the lab for performance and quality

The Risk Administrator will be responsible for a variety of essential Risk Management tasks including assisting in developing and implementing Risk Management policies and procedures, incident reporting and monitoring, insurance compliance, and other tasks as directed. The Risk Specialist is also responsible for insurance administrative support for the office/industrial, retail and multifamily divisions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS:

Risk Management Administration:

• Maintain and review all Risk Management files such as incident reports, insurance invoices, litigation files, incident logs, claims documents, and insurance policy documents.
• File insurance claims, track and communicate with all parties involved.
• Maintain invoice tracking and reconciliation data.
• Assist with preparation for all safety meetings and safety related tasks; draft, review, transmit and finalize safety committee documents including agendas and minutes.

Tenant Insurance Administration:

Claims Administration:

• Detailed tracking of property claims’ lifecycles from incident through closing of claim including claim reporting, insurance adjuster correspondence, bid and invoice tracking, and progress of all property recovery phases, from initial remediation through final reconstruction.
• Detailed tracking of personal injury claims including correspondence with internal legal counsel, insurance adjusters, and coordination of meetings from initial incident through resolution.
• Reporting and tracking of Workers’ Compensation claims including carrier correspondence, coordination with HR, and management from initial injury through return to work.

• A minimum of two years’ administrative/office experience in a professional environment.
