Job Purpose:

This position will lead the team members and development of software with a focus on head unit software, creating a top-class infotainment platform that applies to numerous future influential models simultaneously with a focus on C.A.S.E. Key Accountabilities:

Technical Leadership and Direction

  • Lead the design of engineering solutions with the associated drawings and validation processes for the head unit software. Consider, build, or bring in new technologies and specifications, managing associated risks and address issues to ensure all variations work correctly.

Documentation

  • Write clear and concise reports, presentations and/or technical documents to make a record of the development activities, communicating directly with Technical Experts and Technical Leads.
  • Compile and / or develop documentation (i.e. specification sheets, test reports, evaluation documents and/or drawings) and submit all necessary information as required by schedule. Review documents prepared by team members for completeness and quality check. Provide guidance to others as needed.

Technical Acumen

  • Identify as subject matter expert for the department. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging technologies, external regulations, and industry best practices through continuing professional development, conferences, and specialist publications.

Analysis

  • Analyze data and interpret test results, predict performance and failure and provide required product data.

Supplier Management

  • Lead technical negotiations with suppliers. Bring new technology from existing or new suppliers. Support and guide junior associates in their own interactions with suppliers.
  • Direct the Honda selected suppliers to design and manage the component to maturation schedule requirements.

Infotainment Software Testing

  • Perform actual hands-on testing, that may include developing unique requirements to system components, to guarantee product performance.  Review engineering specifications and design test procedures. Propose new test procedures as needed. Guide and coach junior associates with their testing activities.

Requirements Capture and Specification Development

  • Recognize and specify critical functional (hardware, software & communication) requirements for infotainment system components to match customer demands.
  • Develop, write, and issue specification requirements for system components.

Strategic Planning

  • Research and influence the future path and trends of infotainment system architecture, features/functions, and efficient development methods.
  • Assess the marketplace demands with a competitive viewpoint of infotainment software requirements.

 

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering preferred)

About this Position: 

Equipment Service Technicians keeps equipment in good operating condition through effective preventative maintenance and equipment repairs. Effectively communicate technical issues with the equipment service and production teams and maintains equipment data and documentation daily.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Repairing, maintaining equipment and supporting daily production.
  • Responding to breakdowns and calls to keep production running.
  • Supporting weekend maintenance repair and preventative maintenance activities when necessary.
  • Supporting a reliability centered maintenance program.

Required Work Experience:

Job Purpose

As a Senior Materials Engineer, the associate works independently and with diverse research and design/development teams in performing a full range of materials research, R-Theme project and work request activities relevant to departmental and organizational needs including Technical Pre-Investigation (TPI) research/summary, R-Theme project management/support, material specification development, new supplier qualification, parts failure analysis/testing, patent creation/submission, new technologies research, summary and reporting and test development/execution.   • Conduct new material technology sensing using various methods of investigation including on-line investigation, networking with local and overseas colleagues, and collaborating with material and part suppliers to gather/analyze technological data, determine feasibility, and present findings to technical management.
  • May act as Assistant Large Project Leader or Project Leader for assigned research projects of limited scope and complexity, overseeing/maintaining overall project schedule/budget/direction/progress including coordinating project targets with management, managing project work output of PLs and PICs, creating/updating material specifications and providing assistance or mentoring to PLs and PICs to ensure project quality/cost/specification targets are met,
  • May act as department PL for assigned development models, primarily of limited scope and complexity such as small regulation or marketability changes, participating in project team meetings, coordinating project resources to meet deadlines, initiating/proposing technical collaboration and negotiating strategically to gain acceptance of countermeasures to proposed design modifications.

  • Investigates new technologies/processes for assigned special projects, including conducting market/cost benefit analysis to determine competitive advantage/feasibility and presenting concepts/findings to management for approval to test new technology/processes.
  • Actively participates in cross-training and process improvement efforts, including continuous knowledge acquisition in area of specialty, new testing technology research and tracking material science trends.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

Minimum Educational Qualifications

Job Purpose

The North American Indirect Procurement (NAIP) Procurement Governance Sr. Specialist will drive adherence to policies and processes by applying subject matter expertise in governance, compliance and audit practices, and monitoring adherence to Indirect Procurement and relevant company policies and developing tools that proactively enhance compliance.
