An international automotive parts manufacturing company is currently searching for an experienced Manufacturing Automation Engineer to join their facility in the southeastern Columbus, Ohio area. The ideal candidate has previous work experience in the manufacturing industry, and familiarity with industrial controls and automation systems.

Manufacturing Automation Engineer Responsibilities Include:

Manufacturing Automation Engineer Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred, OR equivalent work experience
- Minimum 1-3 years’ engineering experience (including internships, co-ops, etc.) in a manufacturing environment; specific familiarity with plastic injection molding is a plus
- Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting, and electromechanical maintenance operations
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, electrical schematics, and maintenance documents
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and TS 16949 requirements is a plus
- Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Job Summary
The Safety Advisor is responsible for supporting, implementing, and overseeing Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs on active project sites. This role partners closely with client teams, project management, and field personnel to ensure compliance with federal and state safety regulations, promote a strong safety culture, and reduce risk through proactive planning, monitoring, and coaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with client teams to plan, implement, and supervise project-specific Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements.
- Monitor field activities to identify safety violations, incidents, and trends, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Promote and reinforce a positive safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and engagement with field team members.
- Conduct and document daily field safety audits, inspections, and observations.

- Assist with investigations involving injuries, near misses, property damage, and general liability incidents, including root cause analysis and follow-up actions.

- Assist with the timely resolution of all HR-related lawsuits.
- Assist Total Rewards Specialist with the timely investigation and response to unemployment and Workers comp claims.
- Maintains a presence within associate workspaces and communities allowing for proactive resolution of any potential issues before they become a problem.
