Primary Duties: 

  • Provides effective and efficient care duties as it relates to respective clinical service, following accreditation guidelines, professional code of ethics, and standards of practice, including evaluation/ re-evaluation, treatment planning and implementation and resultant documentation. Implements plans that will achieve the outlined goals and administers individual treatment as ordered and consistent with rehab goals, determines equipment needs and assists the patient in obtaining assistive devices/adaptive equipment and wheelchairs, instructs and trains patients and their families and is responsible for daily maintenance of the therapy areas and equipment.  

  • Demonstrates sound clinical reasoning during patient care to maximize outcome and safety and accesses information for patient care. Maintains accurate and timely documentation to include clinical interventions provided, discharge and equipment recommendations, charges, and prescriptions, writes legible progress notes or other documentation which accurately reflects treatment received and accurately reports type of services provided to each patient daily on billing sheets and submits them in a timely manner.  

  • Participates in department/service/ team specific decision making and problem solving that impacts patient care, participates in team conferences and family conferences as appropriate, collaborates interventions with other team members towards an interdisciplinary approach and actively participates in general staff and team meetings. Identifies opportunities for process improvement that impacts patient care and identifies opportunities to expand supplies and equipment to enhance patient treatment options. 

  • Participates in developmental activities for continued professional growth, takes initiative in pursuing and directing continuing education for professional growth and competency for self and serves as a resource and preceptor for new employee and student orientation in specialty areas for occupational therapy service and team-based activities.  

  • Participates in development and implementation of goals/objectives for the program area as delegated by Clinical Supervisor or Management, participates in-services and continuing education programs through development, and presentation for staff/students and participates in clinical and administrative system development, data collection, and improvement implementation to assure optimal functioning of service area. Participates in peer review, program evaluation and quality improvement activities regularly and for special projects assigned and supervises OT students and volunteers. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Occupational Therapy degree.

  • Maintains necessary continuing education for licensure.

MedStar Health's Wound Healing Institute at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital offers the most advanced wound care for complex or chronic sores, ulcers, and infections. Our comprehensive services range from diabetes education and wound prevention to sophisticated reconstructive surgeries that prevent limb loss. We also have experts in hyperbaric medicine, and we're the only hyperbaric oxygen therapy program accredited by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society in Washington, D.C.

 

General Summary of Position
Facilitates the operational management and administration of those activities which promote the delivery of safe efficient and therapeutically effective care to an ambulatory population. Provides direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process to assist with patient care for the program under the supervision of the attending physicians. Provides patient and family education facilitates QA/QI activities in-service for nursing and non-nursing personnel and assists with research protocols as indicated. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MGUH's philosophy policies procedures and standards.

Monday-Friday, 4 days per week, 7 am - 5 pm

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinates and evaluates day to day patient care related operations of the department coordinating and facilitating a variety of health care specialists within the department.
  • Provides clinical expertise to staff medical and nursing students and patients. Provides education to nursing personnel and to GUH and local communities by offering in-service training.
  • Provides patient care in a safe efficient and effective manner under the supervision of the attending physician and Nurse Manager. May participate in daily rounds. Reviews discharge orders and provide patients and families with education and instructions for post op care. Documents individualized nursing care for inpatients. Provides case management with approved discharge planning for individuals.
  • Collaborates in the development of principles of patient care while maintaining communication with appropriate allied services and agencies. Promptly requests consults from other services when indicated. Makes referrals to appropriate agencies and/or support systems to facilitate patient well-being. Works with nursing administration and/or nursing service to facilitate and improve patient care. Serves as liaison for the Department program by attending assigned meetings as a representative of the department.
  • Assists physicians with patient's history. Documents individualized nursing care for outpatients. Provides educational materials and instruction for patients and families regarding the diagnosis treatment options and side effects and prognosis.
  • Provides patient care via telephone for patients under supervision of attending physicians. Triages calls and coordinates with medical staff and/or other resource to ensure appropriate care. Returns phone calls the day they are received. Refills prescriptions under attending physician's supervision. Documents phone calls and notifies attending physician of pertinent information.
  • Identifies QA/AI indicators for service and participates in data collection and analysis related to indicators. Consults with appropriate medical staff to identify and reinforce issues related to modification in practice and standards of care.
  • Develops teaching aids and prepares individualized patient care plans.
  • Assists physicians with various research protocols by identifying candidates for research studies and assisting research coordinators.
  • Coordinates hospital staff to facilitate inpatient and outpatient care and compliance with patient/family-centered care standards.
  • Follows up with patients who have recently undergone surgery sees patients daily post-operatively under the supervision of attending physicians to ensure appropriate follow-up educational materials discharge plans etc.

Responsibilities

As an Aviation Electronics Technician (AT), you'll maintain, troubleshoot, repair and test complex electronic systems related to aviation on tactical jets, fixed wing aircraft or rotary winged helicopter systems. In this role, you can expect to work with systems including digital computers, fiber optics, infrared detection, radar, laser electronics, navigation, pressure indication, and electrical power generation and distribution. Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Installing modifications to aircraft electronic systems
  • Performing micro-miniature module repair on computer circuit cards
  • Performing electrical diagnostics

The Boatswain's Mate (BM) has a rich history of honored traditions. As a BM, you will supervise the maintenance of your ship inside and out, in addition to a diverse roster of other responsibilities:

  • Standing watch as lookout or Boatswain Mate of the Watch
  • Repairing, maintaining and stowing equipment
  • Training, directing and supervising ship's maintenance personnel

Manager, Payroll Job Description: The Payroll Manager will oversee the payroll function for a $13B+ organization.

This individual will manage the weekly multi-state payroll process, which includes, but is not limited to timesheet collection, earnings, deductions, tax withholdings, direct deposit, various leave types, garnishments, allowances, severance payments, hourly expense reimbursement, validation, and reconciliation for more than 2,500 employees nationwide.

The Payroll Manager will comply with the policies/procedures of HITT Contracting, affiliated unions, federal, state and other regulatory agencies, as well as individual project requirements.

Liaison with Dayforce responsible for payroll tax reconciliation, registration, and compliance.

The Payroll Manager will provide support to the Corporate Accounting department for general ledger activity and payroll account reconciliations and will ensure confidentiality and security of payroll records and administration.

Responsibilities Manage timely and accurate processing of weekly multi-state payroll using Workday and interfacing with JD Edwards (accounting system).

Completing and overseeing the weekly payroll audits including but not limited to timesheets, labor expense, posting/billing rates, and the general ledger interface.
