Position Summary

The administrative assistant and board liaison (AABL) will provide necessary support to OBI’s president and CEO, board of directors and government affairs team to ensure OBI’s governance, programs and initiatives are executed effectively and efficiently. The AABL will report to the president and CEO and work collaboratively with all members of the OBI team.


Responsibilities and Duties

While other duties may be assigned, the list below is illustrative of the type of work the AABL will engage in:

  • Provide executive support to the president and CEO, such as scheduling, meeting and event preparation, preparing minutes, conducting research and preparing materials, stakeholder outreach and project execution.
  • Provide executive support to board committees, including the Executive Committee, Finance & Audit Committee and Nominating Committee.
  • Serve as OBI’s board liaison, working with the president and other board officers on scheduling, logistics, meeting materials and arrangements for board and board committee meetings as well as supporting the board’s governance, nominations, minutes and compliance processes.

        • Successful completion of a surgical technology education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).


        • Certification as a surgical technologist issued by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or successful completion of the CAAHEP or ABHES educational program within the past twelve months.

  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION



    • Our primary care sports medicine physicians specialize in preventing, diagnosing and treating injuries related to participation in sports and/or exercise, specifically the rotation or deformation of joints or muscles caused by engaging physical activities. We also offer a Concussion Care Program to provide diagnosis, treatment and safe return to play for athletes following concussions. The program provides expert, individualized care for athletes of all sports and ages.




  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS



    • Current ARRT RT(R) credential required. If registry eligible, credential within six (6) months of hire required.


    • Current unencumbered Oregon license in Radiologic Technology required. If a new graduate, temporary license upon hire and permanent license within six (6) months of hire required.
