• Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring efficient patient flow, appropriate staffing levels, and optimal resource utilization. Implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care
• Quality Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, satisfaction, and safety. Monitor performance metrics and develop action plans to address areas for improvement.
• Financial Oversight:Manage departmental finances, including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost containment strategies. Ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining quality care standards.
• Staff Development: Arrange and coordinate educational programs to meet departmental goals and support professional development of nursing staff. Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to team members.
• Clinical Support: Serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff. Act as a caregiver when needed to support patient care during high-volume periods or staffing needs.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physicians, other departments, and leadership to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication across the healthcare team.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including TJC requirements, and maintain readiness for surveys and inspections.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required, with demonstrated leadership experience in a charge nurse, supervisor, or manager role.
• Strong leadership, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with healthcare technology and data analysis.
• Licensure/Certification:
• Current RN License in the State of Texas or a Multi-State Compact License required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications highly preferred
• CEN or nurse leadership certification preferred

In this position you would be familiar with creating, updating, and managing databases and the code that interacts with them.

What You Will Do

• Identify and understand customer needs and apply sound, demonstrable understanding of database principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering to translate those needs to viable design solutions.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas well.
• Successfully integrate Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) products as part of customer-driven solutions.
• Use proven problem solving and analytical skills.
• Obtain and maintain SCI program access and complete polygraphs.
• Obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of start.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of Database Engineering experience.
• Experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) and Database Engineer (DBE).
• Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) solutions, such as Oracle, Postgres, or related systems.
• Experience working with Systems and Software Engineers to implement, and modify backend databases to interact with applications within a development environment.
• Experience virtualizing or containerizing databases.
• Experience using Linux command line to perform database administration activities.
• Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI prior to start date. U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Existing Security+ Certification
• Experience with AWS.
• Experience with NoSQL database products such as MongoDB and DynamoDB.
• Experience troubleshooting database issues such as DR, replication & backups and other related issues.
• Experience troubleshooting performance issues
• Experience with database security controls and audit & compliance requirements.
• Experience with automating routine tasks.
• Experience with Spatial databases
• Coding experience (SQL, Python, Java) is helpful!
