Job Summary:

The technologist will perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures using PET imaging while ensuring patient safety, accurate imaging, and proper handling of radioactive materials. The role requires collaboration with radiologists and healthcare staff to provide high-quality imaging services for patients across multiple age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform PET and nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals while following safety guidelines for storage, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials.
- Operate GE and Siemens PET imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

Summary:

There are no hearts or lungs. CRNAs function independently to provide labor epidurals on a designated labor and delivery tract.
Responsibilities:
1. Performs pre-anesthetic evaluations on patients utilizing established guidelines and administers appropriate pre-operative medications. Consults with physicians as appropriate. Ensures that any patient/family questions or concerns are satisfactorily addressed.
2. Verifies patient identity and correct procedure(s). Checks for appropriate physical status for anesthesia/analgesia, following through as warranted.
3. Ensures that anesthesia machine, breathing circuits, monitoring equipment, suction devices and all other equipment that will be used is fully operational, in advance of scheduled time for procedure. Ensures availability of backup and emergency drugs on anesthesia cart, to include necessary equipment for their administration.
4. Appropriately establishes and secures intravenous/intra-arterial lines, applies appropriate monitors based on patient needs and procedural requirements.
5. Induces and maintains inhalation, intravenous, local, regional and topical anesthesia commensurate with commonly used anesthetics and techniques, constantly monitoring drug effects and altering dosage to maintain optimal physiological function consistent with patient well-being, safety and procedural goals.

Documents interactions according to internal and client guidelines. Identifies adverse events (AEs) and product complaints (PCs). Processes fulfillment (e.g., mail, fax, e-mail) and performs administrative responsibilities as needed.


Essential Functions:

• Provides high quality customer service to client customers including consumers, HCPs, and client personnel.

• Documents interactions according to PPD and client guidelines. Identifies AEs events and PCs.

• Maintains knowledge of policies and procedures including client products, SOPs, protocols, GCPs, and all applicable regulatory requirements.

• Processes medical information request (e.g., fulfillment) via e-mail; fax and regular mail.

• Performs line checks and system verifications, and generate reports.

• Performs other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:

•High School diploma / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

• Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 2 years) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience

• In some cases a second language may be required

• Years of experience refers to typical years of related experience needed to gain the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
