Summary:
The CRNA will employ multiple modalities, including regional anesthesia, MAC sedation and general anesthesia, in the operating room to provide adequate analgesia or anesthesia during surgical procedures. The CRNA scope of practice is defined by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and the North Carolina Practice Act. Providers are accountable to the North Carolina Board of Nursing for practicing nursing within the scope of the North Carolina Nursing Practice Act.
The CRNA will work with an exceptional team who support full scope nurse anesthesia practice. Great mix of cases including general, orthopedics, urology, plastics, GYN, podiatry, dental, ENT, ophthalmology. Out of department procedures include endoscopy, cardioversions/TEE, and IR. There are no hearts or lungs. CRNAs function independently to provide labor epidurals on a designated labor and delivery tract.
Responsibilities:
1. Performs pre-anesthetic evaluations on patients utilizing established guidelines and administers appropriate pre-operative medications. Consults with physicians as appropriate. Ensures that any patient/family questions or concerns are satisfactorily addressed.
2. Verifies patient identity and correct procedure(s). Checks for appropriate physical status for anesthesia/analgesia, following through as warranted.
3. Ensures that anesthesia machine, breathing circuits, monitoring equipment, suction devices and all other equipment that will be used is fully operational, in advance of scheduled time for procedure. Ensures availability of backup and emergency drugs on anesthesia cart, to include necessary equipment for their administration.
4. Appropriately establishes and secures intravenous/intra-arterial lines, applies appropriate monitors based on patient needs and procedural requirements.
5. Induces and maintains inhalation, intravenous, local, regional and topical anesthesia commensurate with commonly used anesthetics and techniques, constantly monitoring drug effects and altering dosage to maintain optimal physiological function consistent with patient well-being, safety and procedural goals.

Schedule: 10-Hour Days, 07:00:00-17:00:00, 10.00-4

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Requirements:

· 2 years of experience as a RADTECH

· Qualified applicants MUST have at least 2 years of experience in the Radiation Therapist

· Valid RADTECH license

· Be willing to obtain North Carolina licensure

Pride Health is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PET) to join a healthcare team in Durham, NC 27705.

Job Summary:

The technologist will perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures using PET imaging while ensuring patient safety, accurate imaging, and proper handling of radioactive materials. The role requires collaboration with radiologists and healthcare staff to provide high-quality imaging services for patients across multiple age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform PET and nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals while following safety guidelines for storage, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials.
- Operate GE and Siemens PET imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Start and maintain IV access for contrast or radiopharmaceutical administration.
- Monitor patients during procedures and ensure comfort and safety.
- Accurately document procedures and patient information in Epic EMR.
- Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and quality control of nuclear medicine equipment.
- Follow radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care.

Required Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience.
- ARRT (N) or CNMT certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience performing PET scans.
- Experience with GE and Siemens imaging systems.
- Experience with Epic charting system.
- Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceutical handling and radiation safety.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience working in hospital radiology departments.
- Ability to work with adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
