Evening Housekeeping (Full-time)

General Function: The Housekeeper will serve on a property staff team that strives for the highest standard of safety, cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and attractiveness of the YMCA buildings and grounds. The incumbent's primary responsibilities will include cleaning and sanitation. The incumbent is a team player who accepts and demonstrates the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Shifts needed: Monday - Friday 1:30-9:30 p.m.

Salary: $17/hr.

**Must be at least 18 years old to apply.

**Must have reliable transportation.

Evening Housekeeping (Part-time)

Job Description

This is a hands-on supervisory position. The qualified candidate will delegate cleaning checklists as well as assisting in completion of their own duties. The successful candidate will be expected to inspect the completed work of staff and provide follow-up or instruction as needed to meet cleanliness requirements. The Senior Housekeeper will be responsible for assigning additional duties where and when deemed necessary, as well as responding to other various housekeeping needs in the YMCA.

Requirements

Proven ability to supervise/lead a team. Supervisory experience needed. Ability to carry out housekeeping duties which include, but are not limited to, removing trash, sweeping, mopping, general disinfection, event set up and take down, using stairs, walking and standing for extended periods, and ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and applicable PPE. Must have reliable transportation.

Work shift:

28 hours per week - Evenings 4-9:30 p.m. and weekend availability required

Pay rate: $15

Position Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can think “outside of the box” to help us grow business in the building material market. This individual will work to support the Branch Manager and serve as the branch lead when the Branch Manager is out of the office. We are looking for a decisive leader with an empathetic leadership style that motivates branch employees, ensures exceptional customer care, and keeps the office current on the daily requirements.

Responsibilities

· Assist Branch Manager in leading and motivating branch personnel

· Direct and Coordinate the Inside Sales Team in activities including receiving and entering customer orders

· Order Entry, Processing Quotes and Expediting orders and deliveries

· Inventory Management including responsibility for purchasing and receiving

· Establish rapport with vendors; addressing billing issues, price negotiations and delivery options

· Responsible for scheduling and routing daily deliveries to customers

· Responsible for ensuring accuracy of inside sales and warehouse/driver employees work hours and proper reporting

· Assist Branch Manager with D.O.T and Preventative maintenance requirements for the branch

· Assist Branch Manager with Health and Safety requirements for the branch and timely reporting in addition to ensuring a safety focused mindset for all personnel

· Insure proper warehouse functionality – Layout and workflow

· Stay current with industry trends, new products, market prices, vendors and competitors

· Work with team to build lasting relationships with suppliers and customers, building a positive company image

· Attend meetings, functions and company provided training as required

· Adhere to all company policies and procedures

· Any other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

· Highly organized

· Strong Communication, Problem Solving and Negotiation Skills

· Clean driving record with valid driver’s license

· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products
