ROLE PURPOSE/ POSITION SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes and improvement of service, inventory, and cost to customers. The SCM manages and oversees the day-to-day activities of customer service, production scheduling, procurement, storage, and inventory control activities of raw materials, ingredients, and finished goods. Deliverables range across key customer and vendor management, short and long-term material and production planning, and materials management. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the entire supply chain to align with the company's business goals and objectives
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and enhanced efficiency
  • Maintain a clear understanding of customer expectations for accuracy, quality, and timeliness; then, develop and implement methods for meeting or exceeding those expectations
  • Accountable for departmental project deliverables. Secure and allocate appropriate resources and manage projects to meet goals and achieve financial objectives

Production Planning

  • Manage the day to day and week to week production schedule
  • Collaborate internally and externally with key shareholders to develop production schedules that meet demand forecasts
  • Optimize production processes to ensure efficient resource utilization
  • Analyze production yield, material usage, and material loss data to understand customer/material impacts
  • Analyze actual and theoretical run rates to optimize production schedule
  • Maximize production efficiency through change to current planning processes which will result in reduced changeovers, machine downtime and downtime due to raw materials/component shortages

Logistics and Distribution

  • Manage transportation and distribution logistics to ensure on-time deliveries to customers
  • Coordinate with logistics partners to optimize shipping routes and reduce costs

Inventory Management

  • Implement inventory control measures to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Minimize excess inventory and prevent stockouts to meet customer demand
  • Drive change in managing inventory levels and inventory turns and minimizing obsolescence, scrap, aged inventories, and inventory reserves

Quality Control

  • Ensure that quality control standards are maintained throughout the supply chain process
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to address and resolve any quality issues

Technology Integration

  • Implement and leverage technology, such as ERP systems and supply chain management software, to enhance visibility and streamline processes

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams, including production, sales, finance, and quality control, to ensure alignment and coordination across departments
  • Foster strong relationships with key external partners, including suppliers and logistics providers
  • Participate and assist in development of new, effective programs/policies for customer, supplier, transportation, and logistics management in conjunction with Supply Chain and plant leadership
  • Provide daily, weekly and or monthly inventory and service reports to internal and external shareholders, as well as participate in the monthly metrics review

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and motivate the supply chain team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members

Risk Management

  • Identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain, including disruptions, and develop mitigation strategies
  • Monitor and respond to changes in market conditions that may impact the supply chain

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing food safety, quality, and supply chain practices

QUALIFICATIONS/ CAPABILITY PROFILE

Minimum Education

To Be Successful in this Role, You Will Need:

What you will do

In this role you will be the Complex Security Service Manager for our team of 11 members. Responsible for Service customer account leadership, including Labor and Material growth and execution of the Service business, for the team’s customer base. Drives profitability and productivity of the team. Manages customer relationship development and satisfaction. Responsible for employee development and retention and for safety program compliance.


  • How you will do it
  • Sets and monitors goals for customer account gross margin delivery and profitability, including Planned Services Agreements and Labor & Materials (L&M) work. Drives L&M growth through Technicians and Team Leads. Leads the execution efforts of assigned Service business to include warranty-related customer issues.
  • Responsible for procuring and mainlining fleet and tools inventory.
  • Ensures consistency of delivery systems through supervision and audits of Technicians, Customer Service Agent and others who are part of the service delivery process.
  • Reviews and approves all L&M quotations.
  • Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, accounts payables/receivables.
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing levels to accommodate existing and new business needs, hiring, training and transitioning new employees as well as the day-to-day performance of the service team, conducts formal performance reviews, and all related issues.
  • Responsible for safety performance and program compliance.


What we look for

Required

  • Technical school training or equivalent experience in the Security or building controls industry.
  • Three or more years of management experience in a similar service deliverable environment.
  • Strong ability to prioritize work activities for the team, scheduling, and lead a diverse team.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, negotiating skills.
  • Demonstrated competence in writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic financial accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS office products and basic Windows environment.

Preferred

  • Diploma in Electronic or Mechanical Systems.
  • Two years prior experience in the Security or building controls industry.
  • Five plus years in a service management role directing a similar service deliverable team.


HIRING SALARY RANGE: $91,200-137k (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)   • Align plant operational capacities with corporate planning systems.
  • Evaluate long- and short‑term capacity constraints (equipment, labor, materials).

  • Manage shipment status to ensure on‑time, accurate customer delivery.
  • Serve as a technical resource for the Allergen program.
  • Manage the day‑to‑day activities of the Production Scheduler.
  • Set goals, develop skills, provide training, and support career growth.
  • Monitor and maintain planning department budget.
  • Proactively evaluate and improve process flow to reduce time‑to‑fill and increase planning accuracy.


About YOU

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Operations, or Production Planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Microsoft 365 proficiency required.
  • ERP experience required; IFS preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Provide leadership and to establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with all those involved in the project.


Organize and execute the project safety compliance program within the guidelines of company policies. Initiate project safety meetings for on-site supervisors and labor force.


Interface with the client as his primary contact, by receiving and communicating initial project setup information and periodic project status, writing significant project related correspondence, and representing the Company in meetings.


Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the provisions and requirements of all contract documents, including plans, specifications, owner’s contract, subcontracts and purchase orders.


Develop and/or analyze the preliminary project documentation, such as project code of accounts, subcontracts and purchase orders.


Organize and plan the execution of the physical work.


Develop the project schedule and direct its long-term planning and execution.


Communicate/coordinate schedule and plan with subcontractors and vendors.


Recognize on-site activities which may impede project progress or jeopardize compliance to project/contract requirements.Prepare and submit related informational documents to the client or other responsible parties and implement corrective measures.


Maintain strict control of the project budget for each work activity. Report monthly on the progress and current profitability of the project.


Write subcontracts and purchase orders for field generated purchases and contracts. Review and approve related subcontractor and vendor invoices and change requests.


Prepare, quote and negotiate contract changes with General Manager’s guidance.


Maintain open communication with all other support and business units involved with the project.


Maintain open line of communication with the local union officials.

Supervise the project activities of the on-site project engineer, field superintendents, office manager and clerk.


Participate in bidding, pre-construction services, budgeting and Continuous Improvement Programs.



Skill Requirements


Bachelor’s Degree with major coursework in Construction Science, Building Science or Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.


Ten (10) years of professional experience in the construction industry, including five (5) years of managerial experience.


Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.


Able to manage team of employees and multiple projects.


Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets.


Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Accurate and precise attention to detail.


Goal-oriented and organized leadership.


Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.


In-depth understanding of the construction industry.
