Confirms that patient records and files are maintained in adherence to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
  • Oversees radiology IT systems, ensures proper maintenance and functioning of all radiology equipment and confirms that the department is in compliance with radiation safety practices and regulations. Develops, communicates and monitors department policies and procedures.

DescriptionSummary:
The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed, and help to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The CT Technologist will demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required. The CT Technologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. The Technologist is expected to participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure. The Technologist will adhere to, and maintain, the expected imaging competencies as outlined by management. Behavior and communication skills must align with the organization's mission, values, and culture.

Job Requirements:
Education/SkillsGraduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent requiredExperience1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferredBasic computer experience requiredLicenses, Registrations, or CertificationsOne of the following primary modality certifications is required:
