Position Summary:
To provide high quality diagnostic imaging procedures to our patients and physicians in a respectful and efficient manner while providing those services in a safe and clean environment.

Position Requirements:
Formal Education / Training:
Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology and subsequent Accreditation through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Must be in compliance with CE Requirements.
Must be registered in the subspecialty of CT or be registry eligible and pass CT registry within 8 months of hire date.
BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Workplace Experience:
Preference of at least one year work experience in hospital environment working in CT/X-RAY after graduation and accreditation; however, we are willing to train.

Equipment and Skills Training:
Possesses knowledge of CT scanning and has general knowledge of many types of x-ray equipment and computers. Will train on specific equipment and processes utilized at Williamson Health. Has had training in fluoroscopy, surgery and routine studies.
Willing to perform above functions daily as need in both modalities.

Physical Environment:
Radiation safety and universal precautions practiced in a multimodality imaging department.

Physical Effort:
Possesses the ability to perform multifunctional tasks to include: physically manipulate and operate
Equipment; assist in the movement of patients from wheelchairs and stretchers to table; bend, twist, stoop; lift 20 pounds; communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing; make appropriate judgement decisions in urgent or emergency situations; and demonstrate emotional stability and psychological health in day to day interaction with fellow workers, patients, their families, and physicians. Must be willing to take call for STAT, Urgent, or Routine studies after hours and on weekends when needed.

Key Results:
Checks patient identification and physician order to ensure accuracy of request before proceeding with study.
Questions female patients (ages 12-50) regarding the possibility of pregnancy and properly documents information in record.
Questions all patients who receive intravenous contrast media and documents information regarding allergies and medical history.
Provides proper radiation safety protection for all persons, to include self. Follows ALARA, IMAGE GENTLY AND IMAGE WISELY.
Follows established protocols, safety guidelines and regulatory requirements while working with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high quality patient care.
Strives to maintain the dignity of each patient by ensuring the patient is properly covered at all times; during exam and patient transport.
Communicates with all team members to determine where services are most beneficial between CT and XRAY.
Shows leadership and teamwork in difficult situations and makes appropriate decisions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Meets target objectives and standards for timeliness and quality of Planned Maintenance (PM) schedules and repairs of general and specialized clinical equipment. 

Responsible for maintenance, repair and servicing of specialized equipment in one or more of the following areas:  CT, MRI, PAC’s, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, angiography, and radiation therapy as assigned by Clinical Engineering (CE) Manager.

Orders parts and supplies, within established departmental guidelines, that are required for the emergency service and repair  of all radiological and general medical equipment. Recommend radiology related test equipment and spare equipment parts to the CE Manager.

Responsible for coordinating repairs with vendors and users when needed, this includes follow up paperwork and verification that issues are resolved.

Attends training session on imaging equipment maintenance and technology in order to keep up-to-date on technological and medical equipment advances.  Conducts in-service training sessions to radiology clinical/professional staff on proper use and safety of advanced radiology equipment.  Also, provides assistance and training to Biomedical Equipment Techs I, IIand  Senior Biomed as assigned.

Provides on-call service coverage after normal business hours on a rotating basis, as assigned.

Maintains high level of customer satisfaction as demonstrated by customer satisfaction surveys.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

Minimum of Associates of Applied Sciences Degree in related field of medical electronics, electronic technology, imaging service technology or equivalent related military training and experience.  Certified Radiology Equipment Service (CRES) preferred but not required.

Five or more years of equivalent experience performing corrective and planned maintenance on nuclear medicine, diagnostic x-ray, therapeutic x-ray, ultrasound, or radiation therapy equipment, including but not limited to, R/F, Vascular/Specials, CT SIM, Mammography Units, PACS, Nuclear Cameras, Cath Lab, CT, etc.  Related experience operating complex testing equipment, including but not limited to high Voltage Bleeder or Dynalyzer, Densitometer, Non-Invasive KVp meter, etc.

Must possess specialized training by manufacturer or third party equipment repair in such areas as CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, diagnostic x-ray, therapeutic x-ray, ultrasound, or radiation therapy equipment.

Must possess working knowledge of radiation physics, medical terminology, medical instrumentation, anatomy, physiology, imaging service techniques, 21 CFR (Code of Federal Regulations).

Must possess broad knowledge and understanding of OSHA, NFPA, The Joint Commission, EOC, FDA and other specific regulations and standards pertaining to clinical and radiology equipment service and repair.

Maintain up-to-date understanding of The Joint Commission and NFPA standards as well as state and federal regulations.

Ability to analyze and interpret complex information related to malfunctioning imagining equipment as described by clinical staff, then determines equipment operational condition.  Follow complex written instructions, perform tasks and document actions taken to restore service.

Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

A private radiology group located in highly desired Bedford/Manchester New Hampshire is searching for a Breast Imager to come join their well-established practice. Candidates must be MDs or DOs and board-certified in radiology with fellowship training in Breast Imaging.

Opportunity Highlights

  • 100% Breast Imaging opportunity that is Monday-Friday only.8AM-5PM EST Office Hours.
  • Partnership track is available, but Radiologist must be willing to do general radiology and cover weekends as a partner.
  • Guaranteed Salary: $550,000-$600,000 plus benefits for breast imaging only.
  • Sign on Bonus and relocation assistance is provided.
  • 10 weeks of vacation
  • Production Bonuses are available: Group believes that if you do the volume the Radiologist should be compensated for going above and beyond.
