About the Role

We’re hiring Permitting Specialists to support long-haul telecom infrastructure projects. In this role, you’ll own the end-to-end permitting process—keeping projects compliant, moving forward on schedule, and coordinated across municipalities and agencies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of permitting activities for long-haul telecom projects, including private-property facilities and associated public right-of-way requirements
  • Prepare, submit, track, and monitor permit packages with local, state, and federal authorities to secure timely approvals
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, and key stakeholders to ensure compliance with zoning, codes, ordinances, DOT requirements, and multi-jurisdictional regulations
  • Represent projects in the community by presenting to neighborhood committees and at public hearings before governing bodies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for permitting inquiries and proactively resolve issues to prevent delays


Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of permitting or regulatory compliance experience (telecom preferred; utilities/construction/regulated industries also relevant)
  • Demonstrated success preparing and submitting permit packages and navigating approval processes
  • Ability to interpret zoning rules, building codes, ordinances, DOT requirements, and multi-jurisdiction regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents (blueprints/engineering plans); understanding of outside plant (OSP) design and telecom standards
  • Strong communication and public-speaking skills (community meetings/public hearings experience valued)
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and scheduling tools; ability to research regulatory updates (Quick Base is a plus)

What You Will Do:

Required Qualifications

Horticulturist I is responsible for the planning, maintenance, and operations of the campus community garden, other student garden spaces, and an outreach hydroponic garden. They manage and mentor student volunteers, plan and host educational programs and events, and collaborate with campus partners to advance sustainability goals. This role combines hands-on garden management with community engagement and sustainability education for students, faculty, and staff.

Plan, design, and oversee the maintenance of the campus community garden, student garden spaces, and outreach hydroponic garden.
