The Procurement Intern will be highly motivated, detail oriented and support the procurement operations that drive our windows, activations, and experiential projects. This internship offers hands-on experience in sourcing, budgeting, logistics, and vendor coordination while providing exposure to cross-functional teamwork and real-world procurement strategy. The intern will assist with financial tracking, allocation planning, and data analysis to help achieve cost-effective, high-quality project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Vendor Support

  • Assist in sourcing vendors, gathering quotes, and comparing pricing and quality.
  • Help maintain vendor communication, track order statuses, and support issue resolution related to product quality or delivery.
  • Update and organize purchase records, contracts, and procurement documentation.
  • Support tracking of vendor performance and service metrics.


Planning & Allocation

  • Partner with teams to help prepare allocation plans aligned with project timelines and seasonal needs.
  • Assist with distributing assets and materials based on store requirements and available inventory.
  • Support case-pack and linear footage analysis to ensure accurate ordering and efficient allocation.


Budget & Financial Tracking

  • Assist with tracking project budgets and monitoring actual vs. planned spend.
  • Gather data for variance analysis and help identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare basic financial summaries or reports for internal review with guidance from the team.


Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Update procurement dashboards with data on shipping costs, damages, replacements, and other key metrics.
  • Assist with time-study data collection to help forecast labor needs for installations.
  • Use Excel to support simple data analysis, trend identification, and reporting tasks.


Logistics & Operations Support

  • Help coordinate shipping schedules, freight details, and delivery timelines.
  • Assist in preparing packing specifications and monitoring quality checks for project installations.
  • Support troubleshooting delays or logistical issues by communicating with internal teams and vendors.


Qualifications

  • Junior, Senior, or recent graduate Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Operations, or a related field.

A Typical Day for You May Include:

* Assistant Manager Career Growth & Development: The development program lasts approximately 12 months and includes structured training with mentorship and leadership guidance. Upon completion, you'll have an additional six months to advance into an Assistant Manager position.

Required Qualifications

U.S. Base Salary Range: $54,400.00 - $74,800.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. Position Purpose:
This is an entry level driver training role. This driver is responsible for learning to and/or gaining experience in driving a tractor trailer or straight truck intrastate and/or interstate on local, over-the-toad (OTR), shuttle, and/or overnight routes to deliver and unload various food and food related products to customers. All routes are expected to be completed safely in accordance with all Company policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The Driver Trainee communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring all services and duties are executed in accordance with preferred work methods and customer service practices. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Attends and successfully completes PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program as required. All training documentation is completed and maintained per requirements.
  • Rides-with and assists driver trainer in executing deliveries as required. Follow all instructions and directions provided by driver trainer.
  • Perform all required safety checks (i.e. pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspect tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed. Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies. Immediately report any and all safety hazards.
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight. Perform count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded. Check and complete in an accurate and in legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight. Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed.
  • Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule.
  • Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas. Perform damage control checks on items, scanning and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy. Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures. Collect money (cash or checks) where required. Load customer returns on to trailer and secure trailer doors.
  • Ensure that tractor, trailer and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured at all times.
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork. Unload all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required.
  • Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state and company requirements.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Overview

The Delivery Merchandiser Trainee is a fast-paced position responsible for learning and becoming efficient in the daily duties of route delivery and merchandising in all disciplines, including stocking and facing products on shelves and displays, in coolers and cooling vaults.   • Develop good rotation practices and the importance of point of sales such as racks and shippers; learn how to effectively build and maintain displays of our products, product facing, and brand order along with proper backroom management of our products

  • At Graycor, You Will Gain Experience in the Following Areas:Assist Project Manager and Superintendent in the efficient control and management of the project, while ensuring safety and quality programs are being executed on the project site.
  • Develop and maintain the critical path project schedule, including ongoing revisions. Assist the Project Manager and/or Superintendent in the preparation of short-term look-ahead schedules and the application of Lean Construction techniques.
  • Maintain project documentation and expedite to the Owner, Architect, and Engineers for approval. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the provisions and requirements of all contract documents, including plans, specifications, owner’s contract, subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Assist in the procurement of equipment and materials, and track and expedite their delivery.
  • Track and evaluate subcontractor and vendor performance. Interact with subcontractors and vendors regarding technical and contractual matters.
  • To Be Considered for Graycor's Summer Internship Program, You Must:Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student, actively pursuing a degree in construction management, engineering, or other relevant technical discipline.
  • Have the ability to travel extensively and temporarily reside at the project site for the duration of the summer internship. Travel subsistence pay may apply.
