INFRARED THERMOGRAPHY & ELECTRIC MOTOR TESTING CONSULTANT
The Snell Group, part of the Applied Technical Services (ATS) Family of Companies, is a growing training, testing, and inspection company seeking a trained technician with sound electrical and mechanical aptitude to work remotely and independently with little supervision.
Description:
The IR & Electric Motor Testing Consultant will work with the Snell Group to provide services for our clients. Work will be scheduled by our home office, travel and lodging will be scheduled by you. As this is a relatively new technology, extensive previous experience, while desired, is not necessary.
Responsibilities:
The IR & Electric Motor Testing Consultant will be responsible for delivering all facets of our motor testing and services to our clients. Some of the responsibilities are as follows:
Conduct Electric Motor and Power Quality Services.
- Collect and analyze motor, motor circuit, and power quality data.
- Conduct Infrared Thermography inspections.
- Provide customers with detailed reports describing identified anomalies.
- Be a \"self-starter and maintain awareness with existing and upcoming developments with motor tester and power quality technology, motor and motor circuit design, maintenance, and reliability.
- Identify client requirements by establishing relationships with potential clients.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge and certifications.
- Sound theoretical background in electrical theory
- 5 years Industrial electrician or technician or equivalent military experience and Level II IR Certification

Rosselle Consulting is an independent outsourced risk management firm located in Gainesville, Florida. We are a fee-for-service firm and do not sell or profit from the sale of insurance. We are a small company of fewer than 20 employees seeking someone to assist with the management and maintenance of personal lines accounts while supporting the Personal Lines Account Manager.
Rosselle Consulting currently manages approximately 50 clients. In order to serve as a true risk manager for our clients, we also review the personal lines policies of business owners and key individuals. While Rosselle Consulting does not write insurance policies, we work closely with insurance agencies to ensure policies remain in force and provide the best coverage possible.
This is a salaried position with working hours from Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
As a Personal Lines Account Assistant, your essential day-to-day duties would include:
- Work closely with the Personal Lines Account Manager to determine what actions are needed to provide the best insurance protection for each client.
- Communicate with clients to gather exposure information and underwriting details needed for renewals, marketing, and policy updates.
- Assist with daily account activity, including responding to client questions, helping coordinate claims assistance, and maintaining follow-up procedures.
- Support the renewal process by gathering information, coordinating with agencies, and assisting with quote comparisons and coverage analysis.
- Use the project management system to maintain an accurate suspense and follow-up system.

- Engineer and refine AC and DC motor systems, including induction, permanent magnet, BLDC, and synchronous designs
- Conduct electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical evaluations using engineering simulation and analysis tools
- Perform product teardowns and competitive analysis to understand construction methods, winding configurations, materials, and magnetic circuits
- Generate 3D models, technical drawings, and documentation required for manufacturing and production support
- Develop test plans and evaluate motor performance including torque, efficiency, thermal behavior, noise, and vibration
- Identify opportunities to improve motor efficiency, reliability, and overall system performance
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for scalable production
- Support prototype builds, troubleshooting efforts, and root cause investigations
- Evaluate competitor technologies and provide recommendations for design improvements
- Ensure designs align with relevant engineering standards and assist in transitioning products into production
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in electric motor design and development
- Demonstrated experience bringing a motor design or redesign from concept through production launch
- Strong foundation in electromagnetic principles and electric machine design
- Experience with motor simulation/analysis tools and 3D CAD platforms such as SolidWorks or Inventor
- Practical experience performing product teardowns and reverse engineering
- Knowledge of winding techniques, laminations, magnetic materials, insulation systems, and motor manufacturing processes

The Role
As an Executive Underwriter, you'll be responsible for the management and growth of an assigned book of business and the acquisition of new business. Key Responsibilities

The Commercial Lines Account Executive is responsible for independently providing work client deliverables to each client, becoming a trusted advisor to the client, and supporting the Sales team.
How You Will Contribute:
- Responsible for working closely with the Producer to develop relationships, client visits, cross-selling, and assisting with the renewal process for assigned clients.
- Work with AA to troubleshoot problems /issues with carriers/clients to resolve issue.
- Meet regularly with Account Assistants to review account service needs, identify and resolve any problems that arise.
- Follow-up to address customer needs and resolve any problems or issues. Participate in client relationship - communicate with clients on a regular, proactive basis (minimum quarterly) – develop & broaden relationships with key decision makers.
- Provide customer relations with all levels of client’s decision-makers as well as the day-to-day technical client representatives.
- Complete annual ICR’s with clients on accounts with revenue of $25,000 and over in accordance with best practices.

- Work with Producer to determine best markets and marketing strategy for customer’s coverage and pricing. Communicate renewal expectations with the client.
- Participate in renewal marketing process to gather renewal materials and package for marketing.
- Prepare customer renewals and new business strategies, including proposals and presentations while ensuring agreement with customer’s requests/requirements.
- Make sure to adhere to the completion of proposals to clients at least 21 days from renewal.
- Present proposal to customer, ensuring appropriate team members and resources are represented/attend.
- Ensure proper resources within the organization are involved with the customer and introduce new products through the other core business groups, where appropriate.
- Develop service plan and timeline for each client. Implement and monitor service plan.
- Conduct 360 Risk Index where applicable. Annual Stewardship Report should be part of plan.
- Complete accountability for client receipt of all client life cycle deliverables as described in client management outline.
- Provide proactive client support, setting goals & expectations for client requests and meeting/exceeding those goals.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Licensed Insurance Broker in respective areas.
Skills & Experience to be Successful:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Insurance Producer license in good standing (authorities in states needed to service the assigned book of business).
- Proficient with MS Office Suite.
- Proficient knowledge use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machine, etc.).
