Ophthalmologist Job Requirements
- Board Certified Physician in Ophthalmology (required)
- Active and unrestricted medical license (state-appropriate; Michigan licensure preferred/eligible)

- Minimum 1 year post-residency clinical experience in ophthalmology
- Proficiency as a cataract surgeon and experience performing intravitreal injections (required)
- Ability to interpret ophthalmic imaging and diagnostic studies, including OCT, fluorescein angiography, and A- and B-scan ultrasound
- Demonstrated productivity and efficiency in a high-volume ophthalmology practice
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive ophthalmology care in both clinic and surgical settings
- Perform cataract surgeries (phacoemulsification, IOL implantation), glaucoma and corneal procedures, and intravitreal injections
- Conduct pre-operative evaluations, post-operative follow-up visits, and manage perioperative care
- Interpret ophthalmic imaging and diagnostic studies to guide clinical decisions
- Collaborate with medical assistants and support staff to maintain efficient patient flow and high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinic protocols and standards

Position Details:
- NO CALL!!!
- Night Shift Hours: Overnight (Wed/Th/Fri) for either 12's (6pm-6:30am) or 13's (5pm-6:30am)
- Full-Time – 36 Hours per Week
- Benefits Eligible

Requirements:
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R) and/or MR
- Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher level of education)
Experience:

Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
- Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
