About the facility: The Williamson, NY operation is a roughly 1 million sq ft production facility with 217 acres of land. The site is the Home of the Brand Motts that has been delighting our consumers for more than 140 years. Production Technician II - Williamson, NY
The Production Technician is responsible for the complete operation and changeover of assigned machines within PhD and all other associated work. This includes safely maintaining, repairing, replacing and assisting in modifying all processing, packaging, and facility equipment in accordance with on-line quality and Best Practice procedures.

The Production Associate will set up, adjust, and operate semi-automated printing machines and prepare items processed for the next routing step. Ensuring that only products meeting company standards are passed onto the next step or packaged to ship to our customers. Must be able to read and understand work instructions, perform basic math functions, and make adjustments and/or minor repairs to equipment.
Responsibilities for Production Associate - Koozie Cell:
- Set up and adjust machines for proper operation
- Ensure that the proper supplies (both bill of material and non-bill of material items) are being used for printing
- Read and follows manufacturing orders to make sure orders are printed according to specifications (quality, accuracy, and layout)
- Examines product for defects, position of design print clarity, color accuracy or other flaws and adjusts equipment accordingly if needed
- Maintains sewing equipment including, but not limited to needles, bobbins, lubrication, etc.
- May package product for shipping, making sure proper box size and packing procedures are followed and ensuring that only products meeting quality standards are packed to ship
- Completes DCT reporting and necessary daily paperwork as instructed, including quantity produced, scrap and related information
- Performs preventative maintenance duties, such as daily cleaning and lubricating
- Maintains effective working relationship with coworkers

- Prepare components prior to assembly, clean components, mark, and inspect components, subassemblies, or completed assemblies
- Demonstrate proficiency in performing established operations within assigned area processes
- Ability to ensure all paperwork is completed appropriately
- Set up and operate assigned equipment and machinery
- Observe proper health and safety procedures in handling hazardous chemicals
- Identify and report to lead or supervisor any difficulty which would affect the correctness and quality of the work in process
- Participate in cleaning of area and machinery and take part in team meetings for improvement
- Complete job-related company training courses as assigned
- Support Crane Business System (CBS) initiatives including 5S, KPI's, Standard Work, Problem
- Solving, and other initiatives as they arise

Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: 1+ years of Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication; Proficiency in reading comprehension (understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents) of the English language; Basic computer skills (understanding of basic software)
- Abilities: Accurate color vision, near vision, and depth perception and other vision capabilities required; Manipulative skills, including finger and manual dexterity; Adept hand-eye coordination and arm-hand steadiness; Ability to thoroughly interpret production or engineering prints, production planning information and assembly aids such as illustrations and wiring diagrams; Ability to work well in a moderate to high paced work environment in a high volume setting
- Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- IPC Soldering Certification
- Hand crimping
Working Conditions:
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE

Pay: Starting at $22.28/hr, with opportunities to earn up to $24.53/hr through shift differential and cross-training. Paid weekly on Fridays.
Shift Differential:
- Non-Continuous (8-hour): 2nd shift +$1.00/hr, 3rd shift +$1.25/hr
- Continuous (12-hour): Day shift +$0.35/hr, Night shift +$1.25/hr
Shifts: Multiple schedules available:
- 12-hour (2-2-3): Days 5:00am5:30pm / Nights 5:00pm5:30am (includes every other weekend)
- 8-hour (MonFri): 1st shift 6:00am2:30pm / 2nd shift 2:00pm10:30pm

Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor production machinery to support battery packaging and distribution
- Load and unload pallets, sort shipping dunnage, and maintain efficient production flow
- Perform quality checks and record production counts in computer systems
- Decorate and label batteries to meet customer specifications
- Assist with filling, charging, and final preparation of batteries for shipment
- Slide batteries from pallets on to conveyor
- Remove jumper cables from batteries, sort shipping dunnage, maintain efficient production flow, sort for physical defects, add in-process and final caps, run machines to fill acid into batteries
- Maintain a clean, safe work area following 5S standards and safety guidelines
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ year manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to work 8-hour or 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends
- Basic math, reading, and computer skills
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing repetitive physical tasks
- Must be able to wear required PPE (gloves, safety glasses, uniform, and safety boots)
- U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident status required (no sponsorship available)
About the Plant:
Our Fort Wayne, Indiana Distribution Center opened in 1999 and now employs more than 130 people. The site plays a critical role in charging, packaging, and shipping Clarios batteries used in cars, boats, motorcycles, and heavy-duty trucks.
