GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Senior Director of Benefits is responsible for developing and leading a comprehensive benefits strategy, the design, and administration of all associates benefit programs that supports organizational goals and enhances associate experience. The Senior Executive Assistant helps keep the Executive Director’s (ED) work running smoothly by managing their calendar, scheduling meetings, handling communications, and making sure they are prepared for daily tasks. The Senior Executive Assistant also supports the wider team by helping with meetings, keeping systems organized, and assisting with team events and staff development. Roles and Responsibilities

Executive Support (60%)

  • Manage the Executive Director’s (ED’s) calendar, scheduling, prioritization, and daily and periodic logistics.
  • Serve as the primary administrative contact for the ED; screen and route communications, requests, and inquiries, ensuring timely responses and discretion with sensitive matters.
  • Track tasks, correspondence, and follow-up action items to support executive priorities; provide prompts for the ED to follow-up, as needed.
  • Prepare the ED for meetings, engagements, and presentations by coordinating materials, talking points, background information, draft slide decks, and briefings.
  • Draft, edit, and format professional correspondence and communications.

Internal Operations and Organizational Coordination (15%)

  • Maintain internal systems, including contact lists, shared calendars, dashboards, and directories.
  • Maintain and improve administrative systems, processes, and documentation to enhance organizational efficiency.
  • As directed by the ED, support internal team culture by coordinating onboarding and internal communications.

Board and Governance Support (10%)

  • Coordinate logistics, and scheduling for Executive Board and committee meetings, retreats, and orientations.

  • Maintain Boeing design oversight for supplier‑provided fuel system components; review and approve supplier drawings, engineering change proposals, and configuration updates.Β 

  • Engage suppliers to define, plan, and execute qualification testing and manage supplier‑initiated design modifications.Β 

  • Manage Boeing Specification Control Document (SCD) requirements, including revisions and new SCD development.Β 

  • Provide on‑site factory and delivery support in North Charleston: troubleshoot fuel system issues on the production line, support production holds, perform pre‑delivery inspections, and assist with delivery acceptance.Β 

  • Investigate and resolve fleet, production, and supplier issues (Service Requests, Notices of Escape, Non‑Conformances, Engineering Liaison Requests, Change Notices, etc.) to maintain production flow and delivery schedules.Β 

  • Coordinate, develop, and publish test plans, procedures, and reports; analyze test, certification, and production data to support timely dispositions.Β 

  • Support safety, compliance, and airworthiness investigations; create and update system safety analyses and airworthiness limitations for the 787.Β 

  • Coordinate across internal partners (EME, RM&T, ASE, Structures/Stress, Flight Test, Service Engineering, Production, Ground Ops, Regulatory Administration, etc.) to meet project goals and aircraft delivery milestones.Β 

  • Communicate project status, risks, issues, and opportunities to Propulsion and Program leadership; represent Boeing professionally with suppliers, delivery teams, and external partners.Β 

  • Work with general supervision, self‑directing activities based on customer, product, and stakeholder needs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 9+ years of experience working in an engineering discipline application

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 5: 14+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Propulsion Engineering

  • Ability to lead a team, including training and mentoring more junior engineers who will contribute to the team’s success.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and resolve complex engine installation and integration problems across structural, systems, and certification domains.

  • Experience leading system integration, supplier oversight, and technical decision‑making in aerospace or related industries.

  • Proven ability to plan and execute qualification testing, produce technical documentation (interface drawings, installation reports, test procedures), and manage configuration and requirements.

  • Knowledge of airplane safety, certification, and applicable regulations

  • Knowledge of Aircraft Fuel System equipment design, development, & certification

  • Experience working COSP process

  • Familiar with ENOVIA, CSDT, REDARS, ETAC, IVX, IVT, CATIA (PDM a plus)

  • Familiar with establishing RCCAs / BPSMs / fault trees / cause maps

  • Able to work effectively with the entire value stream to accomplish desired results

  • Understanding of large transport category aircraft certification process is preferred

  • Experience with 14-CFR-Part 25 certification

  • Some travel may be required
