As a Product Owner in Affinity Solutions Technology (AST) you will lead a cross-functional agile team implementing technology solutions for Securian's Affinity Solutions and Securian Canada markets. • Configure Data Map, Catalog, Scans, Classifications, Sensitivity Labels, and Lineage.
  
• Optimize scan strategy (frequency, cost, performance) and extend classifiers and metadata models.
  
• Security & Compliance
  
• Integrate Purview with M365 Information Protection, Entra ID, and security baselines.
  
• Support PII/PCI/PHI detection, access governance, and regulatory compliance (SOX, GLBA, NYDFS, GDPR).
  
• Engineering & Integration
  
• Integrate with Synapse, Fabric, Databricks (including Unity Catalog), Snowflake, SQL Server, AWS sources, and SAP/Oracle.
  
• Implement IaC (Bicep/Terraform), CI/CD for Purview artifacts, and automation via APIs.
  
• Adoption & Stakeholder Management
  
• Deliver training, onboarding playbooks, and steward enablement.
  
• Lead workshops for new data domains and products.

• 10+ years in data architecture/governance; 2+ years hands on Purview experience at enterprise scale.
  
• Strong expertise in metadata management, lineage, classification, scan optimization, glossary management and domain based operating models.
  
• Solid Azure ecosystem knowledge (Storage, Key Vault, Synapse, Fabric, Databricks), M365 Information Protection, and Entra ID.
  
• Experience with IaC (Bicep/Terraform), APIs/Atlas, and scripting (PowerShell/Python).
  
• Financial services or regulated industry exposure.

Title: Azure Solution Architect

Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities

1. Architectural Leadership & Strategy

• Define the End-to-End Architecture for massive digital transformation projects, moving from legacy on-premise environments to modern cloud-native designs.
• Lead Greenfield projects, building secure and scalable \"Landing Zones\" from the ground up.
• Act as a Trusted Advisor to C-suite stakeholders and lead cross-functional discussions between security, networking, and application teams.

2. Multi-Cloud & Identity Governance

• Architect solutions that span Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS seamlessly.
• Design complex Identity & Access Management (IAM) frameworks, specifically integrating HR Systems (e.g., Workday, SAP) with cloud identity providers like Microsoft Entra ID.
• Enforce Zero Trust security principles across all cloud and hybrid environments.

3. Hands-on Execution & DevOps

• Stay \"in the weeds\" by reviewing and occasionally writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation.
• Oversee the migration of monolithic applications into Microservices and containerized environments (AKS, EKS, Docker).
• Implement and govern CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub) to ensure automated, repeatable deployments.

About the Role

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and independently manage end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-phase IT software deployment projects.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Provide clear stakeholder communication, including executive-level status reporting and issue escalation.
• Apply and enforce PMO best practices, governance standards, and reporting frameworks using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful delivery and business continuity.
• Drive a 360-degree project management approach, balancing scope, resources, risks, and stakeholder impact.
• Collaborate effectively with business teams, IT stakeholders, vendors, and leadership to ensure seamless execution.
• Develop innovative solutions to overcome project challenges and maintain progress.
• Manage system integration, testing strategies, and deployment planning.
• Lead change management efforts to support adoption of new systems and processes.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience managing IT software deployment projects.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-phase projects end-to-end.
• Strong knowledge of PMO frameworks, governance models, and project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet).
• Expertise in risk assessment, mitigation planning, and strategic problem-solving.
• Ability to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• PMP or similar project management certifications preferred.
• Experience with IT infrastructure and system integration is a plus.
