Role Overview
The Production Floor Manager owns the day-to-day execution of manufacturing operations on the production floor. This role is responsible for meeting daily and weekly production goals, ensuring adherence to SOPs and work instructions, maintaining a clean and organized floor, and supporting production teams through hands-on leadership, equipment troubleshooting, and close collaboration with Production Director, Operations, Engineering and R&D teams.
This is a highly visible role critical to scaling output while maintaining Chiral’s high standards for precision, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Production Execution & Performance
- Lead daily production floor operations, ensuring work is executed according to plan and priorities.
- Own achievement of daily and weekly output targets (e.g., standard orders, batch completion, on-time delivery).
- Track and manage key production metrics such as:
- Units completed per day/week
- WIP levels by process step
- Throughput and cycle time
- Rework and defect trends
- Participate in and lead daily production huddles and weekly planning reviews.
- Ensure every technician has a work order and all parts are ready in advance of their scheduled shift.
- Work closely with Operations Planning Coordinator to review forecasted plans and targets.
Team Management
- Directly manage and support a production team of approximately 10-15 technicians (scaling over time).
- Provide clear daily direction, prioritize work, and rebalance resources as needed to meet goals.
- Coach technicians on standard work, quality expectations, and safe operating practices.
- Support onboarding and training of new production staff in partnership with Operations
- Review timecards for accuracy and completeness
Standard Work, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, work instructions, and quality controls across all production activities.
- Enforce discipline around WIP management, including labeling, tracking, storage locations, and FIFO practices.
- Identify deviations from standard work and drive corrective actions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready production floor (5S mindset).
Equipment & Troubleshooting Support
- Act as first-line support for equipment issues and production interruptions.
- Troubleshoot common equipment and process issues alongside technicians.
- Escalate complex issues appropriately and coordinate with Process Engineering and Operations.
- Help minimize downtime and ensure fast recovery to standard operations.
Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Process Engineering to identify bottlenecks, yield issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute ideas and data to drive process optimization, efficiency gains, and defect reduction.
- Support pilot changes, new process introductions, and scaling initiatives on the production floor.
- Provide structured feedback from operators to operations to be triaged for action with process / engineering / R&D.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Promote and enforce a safe working environment at all times.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, and cleanliness standards.
- Address safety or housekeeping issues immediately and proactively.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience supervising or leading manufacturing operations (precision manufacturing, photonics, optics, electronics, or similar preferred).
- Strong understanding of production workflows, SOP-driven environments, and WIP control.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to work directly on the floor.
- Experience supporting equipment troubleshooting and process adherence.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally with engineering and operations.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in fiber-optic, photonics, semiconductor, medical device, or other high-precision manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience scaling production from low-volume to higher-volume operations.
General Description As the Sales Floor Supervisor you are accountable for driving customer service to achieve profitable sales growth by leading and engaging associates, managing company merchandise standards and execution. You will train and develop associates to execute sales building programs. Primary Responsibilities:
- Customer Service & Sales - Directs Customer Service and sales activities in store; resolves customer issues and concerns. Models and holds team accountable for outstanding customer service. The Floor Maintenance Technician must be flexible and able to adjust work procedures/hours to meet production needs. The Floor Maintenance Technician’s secondary duties will be to perform general maintenance such as plumbing, painting, drywalls, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.
Primary Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect and identify necessary repairs for processing equipment such as vacuum-packaging machines (Roll stock, Multivac, Ultravac flip-flop), mixers, grinders, patty machines, dicers, blockers, vat dumpers, strappers, labelers, scales, metal detectors, and conveyors. Equipment typical of a food production facility.
- Complete regular scheduled PMs of facility and processing equipment including replacement of parts (seals, bearings, O-rings, shafts, blades, etc.), oil and filter changes, equipment rebuilds and more.
- Respond to maintenance calls from the production floor, troubleshoot equipment and perform successful repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Equipment
- After required training general employees may be required to use some or all the following instruments daily or when needed; forklift/pallet jack, hand & power tools, welding equipment, plasma & acetylene torch cutting, processing floor machines/equipment, knife use, 2-way radios, thermometers, and knives.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to verbally understand and execute work Instructions.
- The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 90 pounds.
- The employee must be able to work from ladders, roof tops, man lifts, scissor lifts, and/or or other equipment at heights up to and including 50 feet from the ground.
- Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Exposures to temperatures of an average of 28 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit depending on the work assignment.
- The employee may encounter wet floors or a damp area during the work shift as well as meat pieces including blood/fat.
Safety
- The employee is required to follow all safety rules in place at the time of employment and encouraged to inform management of any perceived safety deficiencies.
This position will be working in Annapolis, MD at the United States Naval Academy. The core working hours are 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Various weekends and holidays will be required. Starting pay is $20.45 per hour. This site is governed by a collective bargaining agreement. The Floor Lead contributes to the success of a Sur La Table store by inspiring customers on all points of their culinary journey. This role supports a General Manager (GM) or Store Manager (SM) in the achievement of sales goals and directs daily store operations as a Manager on Duty (MOD). The Floor Lead reports to a General Manager (GM) or Store Manager (SM).
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

La Rabida Children’s Hospital provides specialized, family-centered health care to children with medically complex conditions, disabilities, and chronic illness. The EVS specialist assists in all operational activities, maintaining a pleasant, comfortable, and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. We're expanding our sales team and seeking a motivated, people-oriented professional who loves helping customers create beautiful spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers in our showroom to understand their needs and recommend the best flooring and custom window treatment solutions.
- Drive sales through consultative selling, product presentations, measuring/estimating, and closing deals.
- Build lasting relationships for repeat business and referrals.
- Utilize our top-tier RFMS software for CRM, estimating, quoting, and customer communications (including industry-leading texting/email tools).
- Participate in ongoing sales and product training to stay ahead in this dynamic industry.
What We're Looking For
- Genuine passion for working with people and a professional, well-put-together appearance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—bonus if you have retail, home improvement, interior design, or consultative sales experience.
- Comfort with technology (computers, iPads, basic software).
- Self-motivated with a drive to succeed—no prior flooring/window treatment knowledge required; we provide comprehensive training!

Job Overview
Serve as retail floor supervisor with shift responsibility for employees, floor merchandising, security and revenue integrity
Oversee retail floor employees
Report to a senior manager
Collaborate with inventory managers and other peers to create a stable and high-integrity customer service environment
Promote corporate and brand values through daily interaction with customers and team members
Responsibilities
Ensure that retail floor employees follow scheduled work times, breaks, lunch periods and HR policies
Manage assigned team members so as to create the most hospitable and professional guest experience
Observe and correct areas of exposure during each shift, including theft deterrence, cash handling, security positioning, staff deployment and other risks
Count and control cash and equivalents and complete daily reports for tracking revenue, product and wages owed
Coach and counsel direct charges on improving retail skills
Work with customers to help them achieve optimal value from each visit
Make sure that shelves are stocked for each current and following shift
Manage promotional events and other activities that take place during each shift
Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment
Maintain the stability and reputation of the business by complying with legal requirements
Qualifications and skills required
Proven retail or hospitality experience in a high-demand environment
Microsoft Office competence
Experience with POS and inventory systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented, extremely accurate & precision focused
Past cannabis industry experience preferred but not required
References from previous employers
Must be age 21 to work in a dispensary per state law
Must be able to work morning shifts that begin at 8am
Background check conducted on all applicants
