We are seeking a Day Treatment School Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. Your role will promote the physical and emotional well-being of students by addressing health needs that impact learning and behavior. The nurse provides a safe, therapeutic environment through medication management and collaboration with education and clinical team members. As a member of the Education team, you will work with other team members and report to our Director of Student Services.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Respond to an injury or illness of a client as needed.

What you will need:
Certification:
- American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or ARDCS (American Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or Cardiac Sonographer through Cardiovascular Credentialing International registration (CCI)
- Current CPR BLS Certification issued by American Heart Association
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum three years? experience performing echocardiograms
- Previous teaching experience (preferred)
- Peds Echo (strongly preferred)
What you will do:
Under general supervision and working in an educational capacity serves as a resource for protocols and scanning technique issues for Echo Techs and physicians. Responsible for providing Ultrasound exams and teaching the most effective way of producing quality images to appropriate staff. Completes necessary paperwork in order to be in compliance with Intersocietal Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL). Lectures and plans echo conferences. Performs echo correlation and QA of exams.

- Hours: Days 07:00-19:30 & rotating Weekends & rotating Holidays
What you will do:
- Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
- Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
- Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
- Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
- Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
What you will need:
- Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
