About the job:Β As a surgery and anesthesia technician, you will embark on a fulfilling journey where your skills make a real difference. Hereβs what you can look forward to
- Assist in managing cases, collaborating closely with our board-certified surgeons and highly skilled technicians.
- Participate in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures alongside each surgeon.
- Execute, monitor, and recover all assigned sedation and anesthetic events.
- Assist in all operating room duties as a circulating nurse and scrub-in technician during orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries.
- Provide empathy, comfort, and unparalleled nursing care to all patients, being a strong patient advocate during their hospitalization.
- You are able to work well independently and in a team environment, leading by example and holding oneself accountable for quality medicine and customer service.
- You exhibit flexibility, dependability, responsibility, and possess excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician, preferably in specialty medicine with a focus on surgery, specialty surgery, anesthesia, and emergency. LVT or CVT is preferred, but not required.
- An understanding of all basic veterinary knowledge, including triage, restraint, diagnostic imaging, venipuncture, phlebotomy, laboratory equipment and procedures, etc.
- Experience planning, monitoring, managing and recovering anesthesia patients for a variety of abdominal, thoracic, orthopedic, and minimally invasive procedures, surgical prepping and positioning. Knowledge of common surgical instruments and their uses and experience calculating and administering CRI medications appropriately.
- Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members.
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing life-saving care to pets. Your duties include:
- Experience or familiarity with emergency care, including advanced ICU monitoring, CRI calculations, and fluid rate management.

What Youβll Do
As an Oncology Veterinary Technician youβll work closely with our board-certified oncologists to support patients throughout their treatmentβfrom diagnosis through chemotherapy and follow-up. Youβll be a steady, compassionate presence for both patients and families.
In this role, you will:
- Administer medications and chemotherapy under the supervision of an oncologist
- Assist with diagnostics, including lab work, imaging, and CT scans
- Support oncology appointments and help manage patient flow and scheduling
- Maintain accurate medical records, treatment notes, and drug logs
- Provide empathetic client communication and education
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Radiology

Our Internal Medicine RVTs are essential in supporting the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with chronic and complex medical conditions.Β
As a Registered Veterinary Technician in the Internal Medicine department, some duties you will be responsible for include:
- Provide compassionate care and monitoring for animals admitted to the internal medicine department.
- Assist with a variety of diagnostic procedures including blood work, imaging, and endoscopy.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and wound care treatments under veterinarian supervision.

Your Impact as a Medical Lead Veterinarian As the Medical Lead Veterinarian, you are the champion of medical excellence in your hospital. You will be responsible for mentoring and developing your associate veterinarians, partnering with your Practice Manager to build a healthy and engaged team, and driving the continuous improvement of patient care and client service. This is a key leadership role where you will set the standard for clinical quality and foster a culture of collaboration and growth.
- Lead and Mentor Your DVM Team: You will manage all associate veterinarians, conducting regular performance discussions, coaching them on individual development goals (including production and PCT), and fostering a culture of teamwork and retention.
- Role Model Medical Excellence: You will set the example for the highest quality of medicine, client service, and efficiency, while also practicing as an associate veterinarian and achieving your own production goals.
- Drive Hospital Performance: In partnership with your Practice Manager, you will help develop the annual operating plan, manage hospital financial performance toward an EBITDA goal, and ensure compliance with all medical and DEA regulations.
- Foster a Culture of Growth: You will lead monthly doctor meetings to discuss best practices, new services, and medical standards. You will also supervise externship and mentorship programs and champion a culture of recruitment.
- Be an Ambassador: You will serve as an ambassador for your hospital and Mission Pet Health through community engagement at schools, universities, and local events.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and a valid state license in good standing.
- A minimum of 2 years of practical clinical experience.
