Summary:

Assists in the examination, treatment and care of patients. Also, responsible for phones, appointments, obtaining insurance authorizations for test/surgeries, medical record preparation. Associate is also responsible for assisting the supervising physician or nurse as needed;
and assisting with surgical procedures and with admitting and screening patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assists physicians by preparing patients for an examination/treatment/procedure, etc.
• Obtain patients films, reports, CD’s and have ready for physician viewing prior to physician appointment.
• Removing staples, sutures, external fixation devices as ordered by the physician.
• Collecting or assisting with the collection of specimens, including venipuncture, C & S. Prepare specimens for processing as directed by physician.
• Assisting physician with procedures as needed.
• Instructing patients regarding care of casts, splints, dressings, etc.
• Transport/transfer patients when required.
• Takes blood pressure, weight, height, pulse, temperature and/or respiration and completed patient history information, vital signs, chief complaints;
  assists with any procedures, injections, etc. ordered by the provider.
• Responsible for handling all aspects of a clinic/hospital wide activity such as phone usage, appointments, data entry of charts and lab and x-ray with patient transport ans assistance as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and instrumentation per clinic and OSHA policies. Prepare exam rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
• Performs POCT Procedures as trained and instructed.
• Order medical supplies per clinical standards.
• Document all incidents according to mandated rules and regulations and properly dispose of contaminated and disposable items.
• Ensure all patient information is scanned appropriately and the medical record is complete with all reports (signed by physician), etc prior to patient visit.
• Demonstrates competence to perform assigned patient care responsibilities in a
• manner that meets the age specific and developmental needs of patients served by the department.

This role includes a combination of surgical first assist responsibilities and outpatient clinic duties , with no inpatient coverage required . The ideal candidate will have orthopedic experience and either possess first assist experience or be willing to obtain first assist training .

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as first assist in orthopedic surgical procedures

Responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices on a team within a manufacturing cell.

Responsibilities: Detailed assembly and operation of various equipment and machinery per documented procedures.

Tasks may include electronic assembly, casting/coating functions, mechanical assembly, and packaging.

Clean tools and equipment per documented procedures.

Dispose of hazardous waste material in designated hazardous waste areas.

Assemble medical devices and related components.

Work may be in a controlled cleanroom environment.

Use microscopes, hand tools, razor blades, syringes, soldering, adhesive bonding, and operate various equipment.

Perform routine assignments according to specified and/or standardized procedures with close and continual review.

Perform tests on units using computerized test equipment.

Machine Operator II Parsippany, NJ 12 Months PAY: $28.19/HR.

Working Hours: 6am
- 2pm, Monday
- Friday Set-up and operate CNC and/or EDM machines to perform machining operations, fast hole drilling, graphite shaping on metal castings, forgings and bar stock according to specifications and set-up instructions, applying knowledge of machining methods.

Study work instructions (mechanical drawings) and set-up instructions to determine machining required, dimensional specifications, work procedures and methods.

Determine tool lengths, maintain tool change list and program measuring adjustments.

Install work holding devices such as blocks and tooling on table of machine using hand tools.

Lift work piece on table manually or with other material handling equipment and position and secure work piece on machine table or in holding device.

Select and install tooling, place electrodes in automatic-tool-changer (if required) in sequence specified on process sheet.

Observe numerical displays on control panel and compare with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates and speed of machining cuts.

Check program at start of each shift.

Inspect first-run piece, maintain measured dimension list.

Record and inspect key dimensions for conformance to specifications using micrometer and precision dial gauges.

Notify supervisor if machined first piece does not conform to specifications or of machine malfunction.

Deburr all pieces as per specifications and good machining practice.

Troubleshoot production problems.

Troubleshoot production, machine and quality problems.

Maintain tools and measuring instruments supplied by company.

Maintain company production and quality standards.

Report unusual problems or conditions to supervisor.
