We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Physicians Urgent Care. This role is pivotal in providing top-tier medical care to our community in urgent care settings. The ideal candidate will have robust clinical skills, a patient-focused approach, and the capacity to handle a variety of medical situations with a high degree of professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, and EKGs; follow up on results in a timely manner.
- Prescribe medications and treatments effectively.
- Perform minor surgical procedures, modify treatment plans as necessary, and facilitate specialist referrals.
- Represent the clinic professionally within the medical community and to other institutions as needed.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director to update clinical protocols and practice guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service, organize and prioritize workload efficiently, and meet critical deadlines.
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
- Engage with individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, ethnic, and professional backgrounds.
- Adhere to standard clinical practice guidelines, including immunization and preventative health schedules.
- Undertake additional responsibilities including but not limited to staff education, quality assurance reviews, and other relevant duties.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Nursing or Physician Assistant program.
- Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Active DEA registration.
- At least 2 years of experience in urgent care, family practice, or emergency department settings.
- Current BLS certification.
