This role focuses on performing machine setups, tooling changes, and process adjustments on cold heading equipment to ensure parts are produced efficiently and meet quality standards.
The technician will play a key role in maintaining production flow by preparing machines for new jobs, resolving equipment issues, and ensuring finished components meet engineering specifications. This position requires hands-on experience with cold heading equipment, strong mechanical troubleshooting ability, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Perform complete machine setups and changeovers on multi-die cold heading equipment.
- Install, align, and adjust tooling including dies, punches, knockouts, and cutoff components.

Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Senior CNC Setup Machinist. The hourly rate for this position is $25 - $29 per hour. The hours for this shift are 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What You'll Do:Eaton Aerospace Group is currently seeking CNC Setup Machinists to join our 1st shift team. This position is based in our North Charleston, SC facility. Relocation assistance will be provided. The range for this role is $25-29 per hour. This position is currently offering a sign-on bonus of $3,000*; less applicable withholding.
Position Overview: The setup machinist will lead the transition/changeover between production runs on various CNC machines such as mills and lathes then operate select machines through the remainder of the production run while ensuring quality parts from the work cell.

What you'll do:
Eaton Aerospace Group is currently seeking CNC Setup Machinists to join our 2nd shift team. This position is based in our North Charleston, SC facility. Relocation assistance will be provided. This position is currently offering a sign-on bonus of $3,000*; less applicable withholding.
The setup machinist will lead the transition/changeover between production runs on various CNC machines such as mills and lathes then operate select machines through the remainder of the production run while ensuring quality parts from the work cell.
- Properly set tools in machine locations required for set-up & perform part changeover including program retrieval and input
- Establish work offsets (G54, G55, etc.) manually and utilizing probing technology
- Read, understand, and reset CNC machine program codes
- Calculate and input axis coordinates for CNC machines up to 3 axis's or use a spindle probe to determine work offsets
- Calculate and input axis coordinates X, Y, and Z or use a spindle probe to determine work offsets
- Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing results to make adjustments to work offsets
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience operating CNC lathes and/or mills in a manufacturing or operations environment or an Associate's degree or higher in machining or manufacturing related discipline.
- A minimum of one (1) years experience setting up CNC lathes and/or mills

Preferred Qualifications:

Position Criteria:
- Able to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches including proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Able to perform basic shop math.
- A demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the hiring, training and development of store team members as delegated by the Store Manager
- Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager

Qualifications:
- Prefer prior retail and management experience.

- Ability to lift, bend and transport merchandise weighing up to 50lbs from floor level to above shoulder height; must be able to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
